I wouldn’t recommend borrowing articles from elsewhere as you could get into some serious legal trouble if the author finds out about it. Google will also punish you for having duplicate content on your site and won’t give you any rankings. I’m glad to hear that you may be Joining WA in a week and please feel free to ask as many questions as you need to before you join.

I am a new member to WA and was just checking out some sites that might be an affiliate of WA. Very nicely done and informative. Look forward to chatting and sharing ideas as time goes on. I have researched and bought numerous training systems and found nothing as good as WA. It will be nice helping other people to find the training their looking for to develop an online business, as the economy is somewhat challenging.

Often times Affiliate Marketing is Over-Hyped: You’ll see a lot of testimonials promising spectacular results with affiliate marketing, such as “person X made $60,000 in just 30 days as a brand new affiliate” & there’s many similar messaging like this that unfortunately give affiliate marketing the wrong perception, that its some sort of get rich quick scheme, which it is far from. This kind of insanely fast results most likely came from a successful Facebook ad or other successful paid aid. Sometimes due to multitude of factors an ad can just take off and generate high revenues for short period & then burn out. The difficulty is being able to sustain those kind of numbers consistently. FB for one doesn’t like most affilaite offers to be promoted, so eventually your FB ad account will get banned or your ad will burn through its audience and stop working. I know this because I’ve been there done that. Those massive pay days are fun but the real challenge is can you sustain it?
Whenever someone purchases the product you recommended to them through your link you get paid a commission. How much you get paid varies from one company to the next. Some affiliate programs pay anywhere from 4% all the way up to 75%. It just depends on the affiliate program. You would just need to drive targeted traffic to their website and help them make more sales (All of this is covered in the training at WA)
Jaaxy is the most powerful online keyword research tool out there, which relates to the affiliate online business model that Wealthy Affiliate teaches. Street Articles is an article directory that used to be a tool for WA members too. They could write posts there about the same topic their sites were about to create backlinks to them and boost their rankings. After Google changed its algorithm, backlinks started to be seen differently at Google’s eyes so this tool stopped being so important as before.
Affiliates were among the earliest adopters of pay per click advertising when the first pay-per-click search engines emerged during the end of the 1990s. Later in 2000 Google launched its pay per click service, Google AdWords, which is responsible for the widespread use and acceptance of pay per click as an advertising channel. An increasing number of merchants engaged in pay per click advertising, either directly or via a search marketing agency, and realized that this space was already occupied by their affiliates. Although this situation alone created advertising channel conflicts and debates between advertisers and affiliates, the largest issue concerned affiliates bidding on advertisers names, brands, and trademarks.[34] Several advertisers began to adjust their affiliate program terms to prohibit their affiliates from bidding on those type of keywords. Some advertisers, however, did and still do embrace this behavior, going so far as to allow, or even encourage, affiliates to bid on any term, including the advertiser's trademarks.
Once you decide to go premium you won’t be able to go back to the free starter membership. The starter membership is there to get you started and you aren’t able to revert back to it, but if you decide that the premium membership isn’t for you then you can cancel your membership at any time. To do this, simply go into your account settings and scroll to the bottom of the page and click stop billing and close my account.
I would love to teach you everything I know about how to get started in affiliate marketing and how to grow your business a little more every day. I will be contacting you shortly after you join to make sure you are finding your way around the community and answer any questions you may have when you are getting started.
In order for your domains/ websites to get traffic and ranked in the search engines, you are going to need to have a good amount of articles written and have the foundation for your website in place before you can make any sales. The number of articles/reviews needed to make sales will vary from person to person and also depends on the niche. Personally for me, I have made money in 2 different niches so far in the 3 years I have been in this business. For the make money online niche (This website) it took about 30-35 articles to get a fair amount of traffic and for me to make my first sale.
No problem Candice, There is no rush to join and I would rather you wait until you can devote more time to doing this then have you join when you are too busy and not do anything. I’m not going anywhere and I will be here in January when you are ready. Thanks for responding back to me and I look forward to working with you here soon. Talk to you soon Candice.
1. Finding a mentor – When you first get started with affiliate marketing, you need guidance. You will have a million questions to ask and having a mentor really does make a significant difference in terms of starting you off in the best possible way and giving you the correct advice you need to start taking action and build your internet business.

The starter membership was designed to get you started and give you a taste of what you will be doing before investing any money up front into this business. I have seen plenty of people make money with only the starter membership, but it wasn’t a whole lot. You aren’t going to make a whole lot of money when you first start out, you just need to keep working at it and stick with it. Your income will eventually grow over time the more you work at it. You also need to keep in mind that this is a business and at some point you will need to invest money into the premium training, tools, and help and support if you want to make really good money with it.

I’m really glad you are enjoying the reviews! I can totally relate to how you must feel about devoting months of your time to a business that you aren’t 100% sure if you will ever start making any money from. Believe me I was very skeptical about joining and wondering if I was wasting my time by building a website that nobody would visit or buy anything from me. Now that I look back, I am glad that I stuck with it because it is definitely paying off now.

Great article, Zach. The one question I have is about hyperlinking the brand name with your affiliate link. Isn’t it a little annoying for the reader if the brand name is hyperlinked throughout the article? It may even seem obvious to the reader that the blog is promoting an affiliate product. In an article with 1000+ words, a brand name may be mentioned at least 10-15 times. Do you suggest hyperlinking the brand every time?

I wouldn’t advise you to build a website about a celebrity as this could possibly result in some legal issues. I’m not sure how you would earn any money by simply writing about celebrity news and posting pics of them. The whole idea here lola is to build a website based on something you’re passionate about or a hobby of yours. What kind of things are you interested in and what could you see yourself writing about for the next couple of years without getting bored with it?

I would suggest that you open up your FREE account at WA, fill out your profile by uploading a picture and writing a brief description about your self. After that get started on the training lessons, this is all explained in full detail in the training. I look forward to working with you man and if you have anymore questions feel free to drop me a message or leave them on here.

Affiliate marketing is also called "performance marketing", in reference to how sales employees are typically being compensated. Such employees are typically paid a commission for each sale they close, and sometimes are paid performance incentives for exceeding objectives.[20] Affiliates are not employed by the advertiser whose products or services they promote, but the compensation models applied to affiliate marketing are very similar to the ones used for people in the advertisers' internal sales department.

Hello Chris, I am planning to join Wealthy Affiliate as a premium. But I am a 33-yr old woman who does not have a common sense like I get from most people. I am also a woman who does not have that much intellectual capacity. So I’m not sure how much my brain can comprehend and how much my brain can take all the information from WA. Do you think I should just give it a try?
I will also be there to answer any questions you may have getting started.I would suggest that you get started by opening your free account by clicking the “Join Now” button above. Once you join, the first thing you should do is fill out your profile. You can do this by either uploading a picture of yourself or by using one of the images WA provides you with.
The modus operandi of WA is ALL about pretending to be a friendly membership training site, with videos, personal support, comments and chats with experienced affiliate marketers. You get a sense of a great, encouraging and welcoming community, in the beginning, just long enough to last you through the trial and to have you sign up to the monthly program.

There was one thing that I did have, and that was a desire to learn this stuff and become successful in this business. It doesn’t matter if you are 16 years old or 60 years old. If you have a burning desire to succeed here, and you would like to learn a new skill that could change your life for the better than I would highly suggest that you check out WA.

In 2 short months you would still be in your initial training period, so I don’t see how you can honestly say you found no use for it after 2 months. You need to slow down and take your time when you are going through the courses. That’s why most people fail online because they go through the courses to fast and they miss out on lots of valuable info.
