Any amount of time you can spare developing your business is better than nothing. A lot of folks do this business part-time and make a decent income. There’s definitely effort and focus needed in the beginning, but maybe not as much as you think. There’s no cold calling, or direct sales, unlike other online businesses, there’s just a bit of learning and implementing what you learn.
I think you did a great job with this review of Wealthy Affiliate. You pretty much covered everything but what I like the most about your review is how you included not only your own testimonial but also those of other successful Wealthy Affiliates who are making money online. This just goes to show that you can really make money online by applying the training and lessons taught by WA.
In order for your domains/ websites to get traffic and ranked in the search engines, you are going to need to have a good amount of articles written and have the foundation for your website in place before you can make any sales. The number of articles/reviews needed to make sales will vary from person to person and also depends on the niche. Personally for me, I have made money in 2 different niches so far in the 3 years I have been in this business. For the make money online niche (This website) it took about 30-35 articles to get a fair amount of traffic and for me to make my first sale.
I was cruising the net looking for my next opportunity and was fortunate to find WA. It is a university level training course that lets you pick a business direction and supports you from the very beginning. I have never been in a business environment like the WA community. So many knowledgeable folks willing to help. I am very happy I am here now just to find more time to work on my project.
Let’s say you have a promotions page where you’re promoting a product via affiliate links. If you currently get 5,000 visits/month at a 2% conversion rate, you have 100 referrals. To get to 200 referrals, you can either focus on getting 5,000 more visitors, or simply increasing the conversion rate to 4%. Which sounds easier? Instead of spending months on blogging, SEO, and social media marketing to get more traffic, you just have to increase the conversion rate by 2%. This can include landing page optimization, testing your calls-to-action, and having a conversion rate optimization strategy in place. By testing and optimizing your site, you’ll get far better results with much less effort.
That’s nearly 60% off the regular price of $47 monthly. This discount is only valid for your first 7 days so you don’t wanna miss out on this. If you are interested in saving even more money I would highly suggest that you go for the yearly option of $359 for the entire year. This is a savings over over $200. If you can afford it this is definitely the way to go. Personally I would say that it would definitely be a worthwhile investment but this is totally up to you.
So actually, the reason I personally signed up for Wealthy Affiliate is likely much different than the reason YOU want to sign up. Chances are, you want to learn about how to make money online legitimately, learn how to build a website, how to blog, and more importantly, how to earn money from that blog. I wasn’t looking for that. I already knew how to do all that stuff. Instead, I signed up as a way to vet the training, tools, and resources provided by Wealthy Affiliate because I wanted to see if it was something I could promote on this very website you’re reading.
Some people are able to start making money in a few months while others it takes longer then that. I would say if you gave yourself a year and you worked on this at least an hour a day like you said that you could, then you could be making a full time living in that time. If you are willing to put the work in and take action on what you have learned then you could reach your goal before a year. I know that you can do this and you will have me there to help you out as well if you ever get stuck or don’t understand something. I do this full time and make a living off it so I am here pretty much all the time.

Can you run a successful business by only using the free membership option at Wealthy Affiliate? Well, you can, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Instead, I recommend you sign up for the free Wealthy Affiliate membership as a way to try things out. Honestly, the free membership is set up to be a bit of a teaser to get you to sign up for premium eventually, but most of us expect that going in. What’s nice about it is you can judge for yourself, based on the free membership, whether it is worth it for you to sign up for premium. Ultimately, only you can decide if Wealthy Affiliate is high quality or not. You will get more than enough of an idea by signing up for their free membership option. On average, about 1 in every eight people upgrade to a premium membership.
Once you join I will be getting in touch with you within your first hour to help you get your account setup properly as well as answer any questions you may have on your first day. I know how my first day was and I needed all the help I could get. I want your experience at WA to be the best ever and so I will be there to guide you every step of the way.
It doesn't teach you how to get on the first page of Google at all. That's a huge part of affiliate marketing. What good is it to have a well-built site if nobody sees it? No, it doesn't teach how to run ads either. It just teaches you how to look for niches, find keywords, and build a website. I had high hopes for this course but was disappointed after joining.

It’s important to know where your traffic is coming from and the demographics of your audience. This will allow you to customize your messaging so that you can provide the best affiliate product recommendations. You shouldn’t just focus on the vertical you’re in, but on the traffic sources and audience that’s visiting your site. Traffic sources may include organic, paid, social media, referral, display, email, or direct traffic. You can view traffic source data in Google Analytics to view things such as time on page, bounce rate, geo location, age, gender, time of day, devices (mobile vs. desktop), and more so that you can focus your effort on the highest converting traffic. This analytics data is crucial to making informed decisions, increasing your conversion rates, and making more affiliate sales.

A browser extension is a plug-in that extends the functionality of a web browser. Some extensions are authored using web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. Most modern web browsers have a whole slew of third-party extensions available for download. In recent years, there has been a constant rise in the number of malicious browser extensions flooding the web. Malicious browser extensions will often appear to be legitimate as they seem to originate from vendor websites and come with glowing customer reviews.[27] In the case of affiliate marketing, these malicious extensions are often used to redirect a user’s browser to send fake clicks to websites that are supposedly part of legitimate affiliate marketing programs. Typically, users are completely unaware this is happening other than their browser performance slowing down. Websites end up paying for fake traffic number, and users are unwitting participants in these ad schemes.
On WA coaching material there is no separate indexing of the "lessons".  A point missed can be found again but not by going through any master index which would be crossreferencing ideas & locations...thus depriving us of a a way to get back to where ideas are first presented in the training. Without that we are forced to stumble through videos again and again which is very frustrating & time consuming activity or we must ask people instead. This flaw in the training presentation makes me wonder if the clumsier and slower learning which might result...is as "rewarding" to the CEO (in the form of longer lasting subscriptions) as is is "punishing" to the member?
Personally for me, I was able to go full time and I was able to quit my job within 10 short months of becoming a premium member by simply following the training, leveraging the premium tools that come with the premium membership, and getting the help and support that I much needed when I first started. My income has grown considerably since then and it continues to grow more each day. The question you should be asking yourself is can you really afford to not become a premium member?
This is more of a system for people who aren’t confident that they can create an online niche website due to lack of knowledge or no idea where to start. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this for veterans in the online marketing and blogging world, there is very little here that understanding Panda and Hummingbird can’t teach you, as well as a few misguided blog posts of your own and learning how to cater to your audience.

But Keale’s AWOL won’t return my email, and I’m trying to get my “no questions asked refund” it has only been 6 days. Should I report him to my bank or say a few things to get him moving faster? Jack please, I’m begging you to help me. I really am interested in doing the affiliate and I’m not in a hurry, I have studied this SEO and do have a BA in business. Thank you in advance.
Personally, for me I was able to reach this goal in only 10 short months and my income continues to grow every month. I would suggest that you get the ball rolling by signing up for your FREE account here. Once you have opened your account you should get started by setting up your profile by adding a pic of yourself or using one of the ones WA provides you with. After that, you should write a little something in your description so that the community can get to know you better and offer you the most help.
Hi Candice, There are many different forms of payment that WA will accept. These include PayPal, Electronic checks (It takes 3-5 business days for these to clear) Credit and Debit cards including Visa or MasterCard. You could also have it setup to be automatically withdrawn from your bank account as well. I look forward to working with you here soon and if you have any further questions let me know and I would be glad to answer them for you.
I understand that WA has a built in solution to this — promote WA. That in itself is a business one can passionately dedicate himself to. This seems to be an excellent idea initially. But then we have to contend with the fact that there may be tens of thousands of WA affiliates who are in the same boat and who have nothing more to promote than WA itself. There is already a glut in this niche. That’s the reason why every time we do a search for product reviews, we almost ALWAYS end up with a product review done by a WA affiliate who is reviewing the product as a way to lead the visitor to joining WA as the better alternative to the business or product the visitor is researching on.

I really like this article and I want to join but I have a question . If I don’t see value after the 7-days-free-trial , and I decide to leave what happens with my website ? Will it be closed ? You said we can keep the website but who pays for the hosting and domain ? Do I have to pay for the domain first even if I just want to try the 7-days-trial? I am sorry if the question is dumb , but I really want to get sure first , since there are so many affiliate programs with hidden expenses =(

Contact the company directly. If you use a product or service and want to recommend it but you can’t find evidence of an affiliate program, consider approaching them and asking if they are willing to set one up (maybe with your help). Highlight your audience and the value of your recommendation. Explain that an affiliate program is simply rewarding happy customers (you!) for promoting, and they don’t have to pay until a sale is made.

Yes it is definitely not a get rich quick scheme, it takes A LOT of work – which is what I try to get across in this review. You need to be comfortable with doing a lot of work for 6 months and not get paid a dime. That is not something that many people can follow through with. But it is, unfortunately, part of the process, and it can lead to very satisfying results later on.

Thanks for kind words about my website, I really appreciate it. This template is from Wealthy Affiliate and I had another WA member make that logo for me for Free. This goes to show that WA members go out of their way to help each other out. If you are looking to join a community where people actually care about seeing you succeed online and don’t just wanna take your money then you are in the right place.

I am a student. I have a goal of making about $100,000-$200,000(+)/year within the next 2/3 years with multiple income streams. I already am with an marketing company and they have given me 5/6 mini websites. But I want to have as much income streams as possible in other niches, along with the online business I have already. I have some idea about generating traffic to my mini websites, but I want to know how to convert the traffics into sales and leads. Do You think that’s possible if I join with wealthy affiliate? I am not really looking for money right now, just something that I can legitimately built up within 2/3 years of time. Also I noticed the WA premium membership allows upto 25 website domain or unlimited free websites; I am not sure. do I have to buy each of the domains if I sign up as a premium member? Also, in your opinion, how many articles minimum should an website on WA have to have good ranking? I am a total novice in article writing for business purposes and website building. Please let me know. Thanks!
If they do make a purchase, the commission will be paid out on a set schedule and/or when you reach a minimum (the minimum depends on the program!). For example, ShareASale, the third-party affiliate network we use, issues payments on the twentieth (20th) day of each month when your account balance reaches over $50 or more for the previous months’ transactions.

To learn from affiliate marketing, the first rule is to be patient. Without this virtue, it is going to be difficult to stay the path till you start seeing profits, as the learning curve can be quite steep in the initial days. However, make sure you have chosen the right product, built the correct website for such a product, and have a good lead generation strategy, and these things will propel you towards success.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which took effect on May 25, 2018, is a set of regulations governing the use of personal data across the EU. This is forcing some affiliates to obtain user data through opt-in consent (updated privacy policies and cookie notices), even if they are not located in the European Union. This new regulation should also remind you to follow FTC guidelines and clearly disclose that you receive affiliate commissions from your recommendations.
Thanks for all the information I am slowly working my way through your list of do’s and donts! ! I’ve been approached by a website that wants to develop editorial content for my blog featuring home improvement tips from their”national client” and pay me $40 a year for reviewing and publishing their content. Boy, I am just not sure how this all works? Any words for when we are approached by others to write for our blogs?
As I am finishing up this Wealthy Affiliate Review I realize this is the longest review I have written for anything or anyone – I guess I truly am very excited about WA 🙂 At this point I would like to invite you to check out Wealthy Affiliate for yourself – it is completely free after all so you’ve got nothing to lose. Once you’re inside, don’t forget to pass by my WA profile and say hi. Still have questions? Please use the comment form below. I’d love to hear from you!   – Alex (a.k.a. canuck)
I don't have time to la-dee-dah here. Just tell me where to go! If I feel that I need to take a few steps back I will. But no. Kyle HIMSELF made a rude comment to me. This girl suggested that I watch the Alphabet Soup section of the training, that it would help. I said this was for keyword help, and I don't need that. Kyle said that if I didn't know what keywords were for, then I had no business being on the internet. Excuse me??? I was simply stating that SHE did not understand, and led me somewhere I ALREADY KNEW ABOUT. He was rude. And within seconds revoked my ability to respond with his powerful finger.
A: Wealthy Affiliate teaches you how to build on online business. You can certainly learn how to create and sell your own product. However, WA will also teach you how to make money by simply promoting other people’s products! You can work with such giants as Amazon, Walmart, Apple and many others and earn commissions on products these companies already sell. How cool is that?

I just Google “[product type] + affiliate program.” So if you want to promote e-cigs. You would Google, “e-cig affiliate programs” or something of that nature. I like going with companies who have had an affiliate program for a while. Companies with new programs often times are late with payments and/or don’t convert as well as the well established companies.
In the case of cost per mille/click, the publisher is not concerned about whether a visitor is a member of the audience that the advertiser tries to attract and is able to convert, because at this point the publisher has already earned his commission. This leaves the greater, and, in case of cost per mille, the full risk and loss (if the visitor cannot be converted) to the advertiser.
He didn't want me to write, but I just felt the need. So, here I am. No, I wasn't dumb enough to pay for it, but it seems that, unless you want to be a Wealthy Affiliate robot you are not welcome, and will be coaxed VERY tenderly into paying for it. In fact, I was told that the core of what I wanted to learn was in fact in the premium membership, lucky me! If I was some poor beginning I would've fallen, green money hard.
When Mathew J Maniyamkott doesn't write about startups and entrepreneurs, you can find him curled in his bed reading Rohinton Mistry or a Rushdie, although he finds the latter incredibly tough to read. He used to write for a national daily on Startups, Entrepreneurship & Technology. You can find him ramble, rant, and rave about his weight loss struggles & strategies at Fitversity.in.
The best part about Affiliate U is the guy who runs it is a hustler. He has a no BS attitude, rolls up his sleeves, and gets sh*t done. The worst part is, he's always hustling so he doesn't have time to focus on the course. The course seems more like a side project than a central focus of the owner. I like hearing him speak and like reading his Facebook posts. They're motivational and his attitude is awesome. But the course itself is lacking some of the essentials.
Wow! Where to start first/ Great review and very detailed. I liked the part about how you started. The review itself was laid out in a very in order and organized manner. Very easy to understand and I felt as though you were talking face to face with me. I liked your reasons to join and reasons not to join. The whole decision process is pretty straight forward for the reader once he or she has finished reading the review. Nice work, and well done.

Affiliates discussed the issues in Internet forums and began to organize their efforts. They believed that the best way to address the problem was to discourage merchants from advertising via adware. Merchants that were either indifferent to or supportive of adware were exposed by affiliates, thus damaging those merchants' reputations and tarnishing their affiliate marketing efforts. Many affiliates either terminated the use of such merchants or switched to a competitor's affiliate program. Eventually, affiliate networks were also forced by merchants and affiliates to take a stand and ban certain adware publishers from their network. The result was Code of Conduct by Commission Junction/beFree and Performics,[30] LinkShare's Anti-Predatory Advertising Addendum,[31] and ShareASale's complete ban of software applications as a medium for affiliates to promote advertiser offers.[32] Regardless of the progress made, adware continues to be an issue, as demonstrated by the class action lawsuit against ValueClick and its daughter company Commission Junction filed on April 20, 2007.[33]
An affiliate marketing program is a lot of work, and in most situations there's a lot of competition so you're not going to be bringing in money immediately. Business owners and entrepreneurs suppose that all you need do is setup a site and choose an affiliate to associate with and then just let it run its course. But according to Three Ladders Marketing, only 0.6% of affiliate marketers surveyed have been in the game since 2013. That means that affiliate marketing takes time and effort to build and make money.
I wouldn’t advise you to build a website about a celebrity as this could possibly result in some legal issues. I’m not sure how you would earn any money by simply writing about celebrity news and posting pics of them. The whole idea here lola is to build a website based on something you’re passionate about or a hobby of yours. What kind of things are you interested in and what could you see yourself writing about for the next couple of years without getting bored with it?
I know that you will benefit greatly from the WA teachings and If I was you I would get rolling today for $0 by opening your free account. After you fill in your details and create your account your first step is to upload a pic of yourself or use one that WA supplies you with. The next step is to write a little about yourself and tell everyone some goals you would like to achieve.
Here is my question: “What do you know about ‘Jim Cockrum’s Coaching Course?’ I was debating, if it does not cost me “an arm and a leg” to join the course but then I start reading a few negative reports/reviews on “Ripoff Report” (old ones ) which made me slightly uneasy! Also, I noticed that apparently Jim and/or the “Coaching Office” is located in Utah! This makes me kind of uneasy also, because many Internet operators, companies , etc., are located in Utah! I happened to deal with a few of them and they all left me with a bad taste in my mouth and/or ‘burned’, so to speak!.
I started a blog which I plan to monetize only through affiliate marketing and my own products, no ads. I’ve been working on building an audience for my blog, for about 1 year and a half, many people think is maybe too much time, but I just want to make sure that I build enough trust with my readers before I start to try to make them buy something.
As for people viewing through comments, I know you many have quite a few questions. I know Frank has already clarified that it works! Many may ask if it is worth the money. I think you will be the judge of that! I encourage you to use up the first free days and then use the $19 a month deal for your first month. Only then will you really understand how it is worth it! You learn so much more, and it’s almost like being enrolled in a college class, without time limits, and with a HUGE community of support to help you! I remember that any time I got frustrated, there was always someone to go to! I had about 5 or 6 that I constantly went to! So if you afraid to join because you are totally new to any of this, DON’T BE! I was too, and I am very proud of what all I learned! There is no better place to start than WA!
Thanks for your reply. Some of my interests are movies, sing, dance, chat, read, travel(haven’t done much), read, watching tv, electronics, computer, games, social media, sports, food, health, money, business and more. Some interests I like more than others. I know that was too broad of an answer. If possible, I’d like to write about as much of my interests as possible. I think I asked all I could think of. Anything else I haven’t asked that you think I should know about, being a newbie and all?
In the BigCommerce affiliate program, you receive a 200% bounty per referral and $1,500 per Enterprise referral, with no cap on commissions. Plus, the more referrals you drive through the program, the higher your commission tier will go. BigCommerce uses an industry leading 90-day cookie, so you will receive credit for up to three months for the referrals you generate. Also, there are no obligations or minimum commitments to join the program.

Congratulations on joining the #1 online business community in the world. I know that you are going to love it and I wish you would have signed up under me. I have showed hundreds of people how to make money online and I would love to help you out as well. You can follow me on my WA profile and on G+ as well if you would like. I will follow you back.

2. Finding the correct products to promote – If you’re promoting crap products, no one is going to buy them. No matter how good you are at marketing. Finding the correct merchant is one of the most important steps on your affiliate journey, you need to be promoting attractive products that people want to buy. That way, half the work is already done for you!
Another positive point is that Wealthy Affiliate can help to minimise some of your technical expenses as they provide a hosting service for 25 domains, email addresses specific to your domain, and a light keyword research tool called Jaaxy. The combined total of these expenses for just one website can easily reach $20/mth (For reference, an email address tied to your domain costs $5/mth per account on Google Business Suite while the equivalent hosting in terms of speed/space can cost $12/mth on hosts such as Siteground and Bluehost).
One of the main reasons why most newbie affiliate marketers give up after 3 months is the fact that they can’t build up traffic to their affiliate website. It’s a thorn in most marketers’ sides, but one that can be easily resolved if you put the effort in. Below I have covered a few areas that will get you good targeted traffic to your affiliate deals.

Finally, if you’re only planning on “dipping your toes in the water” to see what affiliate marketing is all about, do not sign up for the premium membership. The free membership is more than enough for you to see what it’s all about. Premium membership should be reserved for those who are actually serious about building a real business for themselves. If you aren’t in this for the long-haul, there is no reason to waste your money.
