Every niche can be profitable, it all depends on how you approach it and whether you narrow it down enough or not. I have gone into a niche when I first started that was extremely too broad. I ended up making nothing at all with it due to the simple fact that I didn’t narrow it down enough and focus on finding my targeted audience. If you don’t target the audience that is looking for what you are offering within your niche then naturally it’s not going to be profitable.
Also pyramid schemes require you to pay in order to be able to recruit. Wealthy Affiliate welcomes you with a completely free membership. This is done for the transparency reasons. You join for free and you decide if the quality of training and the level of support is good for you. You can stay on as a free member and build your own sites. You can move to Premium as well which will offer more support and more training but no one forces you to do it. Once again, you try it for free and decide if it’s worth it for you.
They are a very clever marketing company, and are everything they say they're not. Beware, and please read. They are smarter than most, which is why they have so many followers. They claim to have the key to training a person on how to successfully create their own lucrative work-from-home blog sites. They do claim to be a lot of work, require a lot of patience, blah blah swoon. You almost had me.
Hope all is well with you. I would like to thank you for the very helpful review. It’s been about a week now I have been researching Wealthy Affiliate. Should I, shouldn’t I, should I shouldn’t I. I believe I read your review about 4x. I’m excited to say I”M GOING IN!! I have no clue what my niche, skills, etc is but I know my goal is to help people and make some money doing it. I’m ready to put in the work and see results… (hopefully)
This usually happens when you are signing up from the same IP address as someone who currently has a WA account. This could also happen if you are trying to sign up from the same computer as someone with an active WA account. If neither of these situations apply to you then I would send Kyle an email Kyle@wealthyaffiliate.com (Co founder of WA) and explain whats going on to him and he will get your account setup for you.
A sound product strategy is a must for new affiliate marketers. Ideally, you should choose a niche that you can make money online with and has a lot of product vendors. This will give you a wide selection of products to offer your online community. However, limit yourself to two or three products at a time, so that you become the expert others turn to and trust when reaching for their wallet.
Regarding your other question, the overwhelming information is for those who are just starting online and don’t know anything at all about online marketing. But if you follow the training step-by-step there is no issue at all. The webinars are oriented either for new people or for advanced so, I recommend that you first join those webinars targeted to newbies.
Focusing on relevant products makes it easier to make quality referrals because there’s a nice overlap between your audience and the product you’re promoting. If you’re a fitness blogger, for example, it wouldn’t exactly fit in with the rest of your content if you started promoting video games and electronics that aren’t applicable to your niche. Instead, you might find a company whose products focus on protein powders, vitamins, workout equipment, etc.
I’ve had a quick look at your site and the first thing I noticed is that it’s not sexy. Site design is so important. Anytime I come across an ugly website I hit the back button faster than you can say call-to-action. I also see that you only have two pages, there’s no identity or branding behind the site. You’ve also got a generic header logo that is usually applied by default when you install a theme. No custom logo’s or anything.
If you did actually cancel your Wealthy Affiliate account before your renewal date and still got charged then I highly suggest getting in touch with WA support or emailing Kyle directly. Glitches happen from time to time and as far as I have seen WA always cancels these kinds of transactions. Also an account cannot be downgraded from Premium to Basic. You can however transfer your website away from WA if you wish to do so, even after you cancel your membership.
It is unfortunate to hear you weren’t able to make money online. Unfortunately I do not what kind of effort you put in and how you approached your own business so I can’t comment on the reasons why. I for a fact made more money online in my very first year than I made working a full time office job here in Canada. As you mentioned, creating a successful online business does take a LOT of work and time as well. If it was easy we’d all be rich. Building a business is a long term process and should be seen as such.

I am really excited about Wealthy Affilliate and I really want to give it a try subscribing from your link but I’d really like to know what I’m going to do to receive money. A friend of mine told me that I will build a web page to sell any product I want to. My question is, am I going to have a great quality web page to sell something? Will I have a well looking web page? Can a I see your best selling web page that you’ve got hosted inside Wealthy affilliate? Thanks in advance, If I see that my page will look great, I will gladly join WA from your link.
Thanks for stopping by. As regards your question, unfortunately this is not a get rich quick scheme. It’s probable that you don’t see any earnings on your first months. You will need to invest time building your site from scratch: this means publishing good articles, creating a nice layout, etc. If you want to accelerate the process you can outsource your content and SEO but that will cost you more money.

Two-tier programs exist in the minority of affiliate programs; most are simply one-tier. Referral programs beyond two-tier resemble multi-level marketing (MLM) or network marketing but are different: Multi-level marketing (MLM) or network marketing associations tend to have more complex commission requirements/qualifications than standard affiliate programs.[citation needed]
I have been reading the comments/reviews regarding this company and I am interested in joining, but I have a couple of questions before doing so. My main interest is cooking so I would like to put my own recipes on site would this sort of thing be of interest. Can you also tell me once the 7 day free membership has expired how much is it going to cost on an ongoing basis. What are the layout costs of starting this up if there are any. I am retired and I am looking for an interest but have no experience in this area as I worked for the NHS

There is no use of having the best content on the planet if people don’t visit your affiliate website. You need to drive traffic to your affiliate website if you need to make commissions by recommending products. Give away free content on your website, offer a free consultation, add subscribers to your newsletter, and produce videos that offer a lot of value to visitors to encourage people to visit your website.

First and foremost, I found this while doing research on these on line work from home business. I am just kind of put off with your review because honestly they way you described your actions and attitude to the company in general, I would have reacted in much the same way but I would not have been as nice about it. Let's face it....you were rude. You know what they say, "you get what you give. I don't think anyone out there who has out the time and effort into creating such a training program would be okay with any one skipping ahead to what they think they need. You came off like a know it all and nobody likes that. So in my opinion, you tried something, it didn't work so, you didn't get your way and so basically this is your rendition of throwing a tantrum...grow up!!!!

The greatest thing about Wealthy Affiliate is the pay it forward system that they have in place. When you learn something you share it with the community so that other people can learn as well. I’m glad that you have got your account setup and you are able to log in and get started learning. Let me know if you need any help with the training lessons and I would be more then happy to help you out.
The best part about Affiliate U is the guy who runs it is a hustler. He has a no BS attitude, rolls up his sleeves, and gets sh*t done. The worst part is, he's always hustling so he doesn't have time to focus on the course. The course seems more like a side project than a central focus of the owner. I like hearing him speak and like reading his Facebook posts. They're motivational and his attitude is awesome. But the course itself is lacking some of the essentials.
The first 10 lessons that you get with your starter (free) membership are not useless. They explain how everything works and they give a chance to someone like you to decide if this is something they want to do. Without actually asking you for any money. If you like what you see, than go ahead for Premium where you get a lot more training. If you feel it isn’t something you like than that’s that. Most “training” programs will charge you up to hundreds of dollars just to let you in – WA decided to do this for free.
Building trust with your audience is paramount in affiliate marketing, and the quickest way to lose trust is to recommend products either you haven’t used before or that aren’t a good fit for your audience. Also make sure you never tell anyone to directly buy a product, you are simply recommending the product. The more helpful you are and the more you make quality recommendations, the more likely your web visitors will come back for your expertise.

I also see that they are very heavy on people just re-adding for them (WA) and I see that most sites created by WA members are bland repeat-a-phones about personal health & well-being including of course working on your hobby and making money from it through ads for WA. and affiliate sales. My site was about recovering from smoking addictions through my own phone coaching (and knowledge of addictions), and after 3 months and no clients I passed out some real business cards and then cancelled my sub to WA and then discovered that I could not get back into WA even though I still have paid membership time left...and also discovered that even though the site will still show up for 30 more days, without being able to get into the administration area, I'm not sure I can even transfer the site to another host and domain name. I feel as if my intellectual property might be in the process of being stolen.

People usually get this message whenever they are sharing an IP address with another WA member.(this could happen if you are using someone’s wi-fi) You are limited to 1 account per IP address due to the fact that many people try to commit fraud and game the system. Another reason why you may get this message is because you are trying to sign up to WA using the same computer as another WA member and the system is picking it up as them already having an account.
I must admit that I like this tool a lot. Not only because it's the cheapest in the market but also due to all the features included (i.e. SSL certificate, Privacy protection, email accounts and premium DNS). The best part is that all this features are already included in the price of the Domain cost. Just take a look at the comparison table below between Wealthy Affiliate and other big Domain Name companies:
If you do decide to go ahead and try affiliate marketing, don't give up when things get tough. When you feel like giving up, message me within Wealthy Affiliate first before calling it quits. Every new affiliate goes through the frustrating phase of wanting to quit. When you hit that phase, success is usually right around the corner waiting on you (assuming you followed the training).
Thanks for the review I have been looking into WA and a couple other programs for a couple of weeks. I have decided WA is the way to go! However, I still have a couple of questions. They have probably been answered but I need some more clarification please. 1) I will not be paid by WA directly unless I am a part of their affiliate program, correct? Payments from other Companies come directly from the other companies? 2) This seems a little overwhelming. Is there a course of action for a newbie?
I’m glad that this review has helped you out. Wealthy Affiliate can definitely help you out and take your internet marketing skills to the next level and beyond. I have been a member for over a year and a half and it’s definitely legit. In the time I have been there I have been able to start a website (Which I had no idea how to do before) and turn it into a full time business.
You do need to have the knowledge in your niche and you need to be able to create good content in order to make money online. That’s true. However I haven’t met a single successful online entrepreneur who was born with such knowledge or skills. When I started learning about online marketing I was completely horrible at writing content. I was definitely not an expert in anything. I had absolutely no idea what “traffic” meant or “blog” or “keywords” or “affiliate”… The fact that English is my 4th language didn’t help either especially when it came to content creation. But I had to start somewhere. The analogy that I love is babies learning to walk. When you’re a little baby you don’t just give up on the idea of walking because you aren’t “an expert” on it. You try to make your first step, fall down, then you get up and try again. Then again and again and again. Eventually you can walk, then run and if you’re persistent enough you could potentially become an Olympic champion. The same applies to business.
This is the standard affiliate marketing structure. In this program, the merchant pays the affiliate a percentage of the sale price of the product after the consumer purchases the product as a result of the affiliate’s marketing strategies. In other words, the affiliate must actually get the investor to invest in the product before they are compensated.
It’s great that you are thinking long term and that you understand that building an online business will take time. If you are willing to stick with this for the next 2 or 3 years you will definitely make some awesome progress within that time. If you decide to Join As A Premium Member you will have the ability to host up to 50 domains. This would be 25 free domains and 25 domains that you own so yes you would need to purchase these domains from an outside domain registrar like Go Daddy or Namecheap.

Of course you can say, well just compete. That’s the essence or free enterprise. But then, realistically, what are the chances of still succeeding in this WA promotion niche? There are already a lot of veterans way, way ahead — like YOU. For a newbie appreciating how excellently you have developed your promotion site, it looks like a very tall order to come up with something better and competitive. And mind you, you are not the only excellent site around promoting WA.

Yes, you can visit other websites that are in your niche to get some ideas and learn more about it. I actually still do that to this day and once I get my ideas together, I write my review on all the information I’ve researched and put it in my own words. This is perfectly fine and a great practice for you to get into when structuring articles for your website. I hope this helps you out and let me know if you have any other questions.
If you set your mind to it you can achieve anything if you are willing to work hard at it. 80% of people who start out in affiliate marketing end up failing because they either don’t have the right training or they get overwhelmed with everything you need to learn to succeed in this business. If you are willing to work hard at this you can make lots of money but it’s not going to come easy.

Btw. What I meant by WA is forcing us to be pay members or cancel everything is you can’t be a starter member forever if you want to grow your business as sub domain is not the way and you don’t have the freedom to upgrade within your starter account without upgrading to premium, then you can’t go back even if you can’t afford it while if you cancel, you lose everything!
Once you've protected your prospecting pool, maximize your affiliate program by working with the best and leaving the rest. As the old 80/20 adage implies, most of your revenue will come from a very small percentage of your affiliates. Because it can be time-consuming to manage a larger affiliate network, consider selecting only a few companies initially, and interview them before signing them on. Affiliates are an extension of your sales force and represent your online brand, so choose partners carefully.
Honestly, I think this website can help people learn about buildings website, but you have to spend a lot of money and time to achieve something. I been a member for a year. Didn’t make any money, but I paid 359 US$. But in the same time, I learned a lot about building websites. I am not happy about them right now because after I stopped my yearly membership at June 13, 2017. They took my money 359US$ and shut down my account. Now I couldn’t even log in my account, on my web page, showed ether I become monthly or yearly membership. I couldn’t even log in, but I remember free membership is allowed. Right? What is going on here?. The good thing is my bank promised me I will get my money refund. So, not too bad, at least I didn’t lost my money. They are not very kind to the people don’t want continue their membership. Very disappointed.

When Mathew J Maniyamkott doesn't write about startups and entrepreneurs, you can find him curled in his bed reading Rohinton Mistry or a Rushdie, although he finds the latter incredibly tough to read. He used to write for a national daily on Startups, Entrepreneurship & Technology. You can find him ramble, rant, and rave about his weight loss struggles & strategies at Fitversity.in.
Easy to start: The investment required to get into affiliate marketing is not much. Apart from the costs associated with buying a domain and hosting it, there is no other cost involved except for maybe a tool or two (such as benchmarking tools to test product performance, and the like) which would still not put a dent in your wallet. You can write the articles by yourself; if you think writing is not something up your alley, you can outsource the content to freelance writers.
Needless to say, I was blown away pretty quickly. Even by signing up for their free membership option, it was very apparent that Wealthy Affiliate does things differently. The community, recorded training, live ongoing weekly training sessions, live chat and support options, and business-like approach for beginners to pros alike really blew my mind.
