NO ONE! I asked and asked. Other trial members asked. But we got zero proof of anything. And confronted with my requests, all I got were bad excuses from the owners of WA. “People are afraid that you copy their website.” LOL :D) As if I anyone could simply copy a website and steal their business. Totally ridiculous. If this was possible then anyone could easily find a topranking website on Google, copy it and get rich. LOL. And all this “secrecy” totally went against their proclaimed ideology about a helping and sharing community.
You need to introduce the product to your potential customers first. You do this by writing helpful and in depth reviews on the products and tell people as much as you possibly can about the product (Kinda like pre-selling it) Then on your review pages, this is where you put your affiliate links and drive traffic to the vendors page. Yes, you do need a website.
Don’t feel bad though when I first started I did the same exact thing that you did. I posted ads and click bank links but I got no sales. I would suggest that when you join under me you use a new email and username that way you can start over fresh and I can get you started down the right path. To answer your last question, there really isn’t no answer for this because everyone is different.
You also should not join Wealthy Affiliate if you don’t enjoy the community / social aspect of it. A huge part of Wealthy Affiliate is the ability to communicate with other members. It’s a “help and be helped” community. If you have no interest in setting up your profile, asking questions, supporting others, chatting in the live chat sessions, or doing any sort of participation, you will not get the full benefit of the service.

I’m really glad you are enjoying the reviews! I can totally relate to how you must feel about devoting months of your time to a business that you aren’t 100% sure if you will ever start making any money from. Believe me I was very skeptical about joining and wondering if I was wasting my time by building a website that nobody would visit or buy anything from me. Now that I look back, I am glad that I stuck with it because it is definitely paying off now.
As for where to place a disclosure, the guiding principle is that it has to be clear and conspicuous. The closer it is to your recommendation, the better. Putting disclosures in obscure places – for example, buried on an ABOUT US or GENERAL INFO page, behind a poorly labeled hyperlink or in a “terms of service” agreement – isn’t good enough. Neither is placing it below your review or below the link to the online retailer so readers would have to keep scrolling after they finish reading. Consumers should be able to notice the disclosure easily. They shouldn’t have to hunt for it.

I know that you will benefit greatly from the WA teachings and If I was you I would get rolling today for $0 by opening your free account. After you fill in your details and create your account your first step is to upload a pic of yourself or use one that WA supplies you with. The next step is to write a little about yourself and tell everyone some goals you would like to achieve.
The premium Wealthy Affiliate membership is where you get access to absolutely everything. If you’re serious about building an online business, I have never in my 8 years in this industry seen such an amazing community full of help, tools, and resources. I’ve been a member at several other online marketing sites, but this one blows the rest of them out of the water.
1.When you join their affiliate program you will be given your very own affiliate id which is called your affiliate link. You will need to put this link on your website. When someone clicks on your affiliate link on your site to Microsofts website, this will install a cookie on their computer which is what is used to track where people are coming from.

Scott~ I am interested in WA and seeing if I can “make it work”. Definitely willing to give it my all. But, I am looking to sign under someone who is definitely 100% available for support. In other words, not just leaving the support to what we get under WA, and not saying you’re there for support but that being just a sales pitch. I have found by experience that sometimes the individual you sign up under is very slow in responding or doesn’t check in periodically to see how you are doing or if you have any questions. They wait until they are contacted. I have signed up for a totally different on-line business venture, but the individual I signed under has NEVER contacted me. My only support comes from within the company itself. Definitely was just a sales pitch!
Hey Ryan thanks for the comment, All of this training on how to create visual graphics and star ratings is covered in the Boot camp at Wealthy Affiliate. Anyone can achieve this level of success and beyond if they just follow the training provided. I’m glad you liked it and thanks for stopping by if you ever need any help getting started let me know and I would love to help you out man.
2nd tier.  If you are an affiliate for a particular program and you refer others to sign up for that affiliate program, a 2nd tier program will pay you when the affiliates you referred make sales. For example, I am an affiliate for Ultimate Bundles. If you join their affiliate program via my 2nd tier affiliate link here. I will get a small percentage of any sales you make going forward.
Understand where people are at in the buying cycle and promote accordingly. Spend the most time sharing affiliate links where people are ready to buy. For example, you can share affiliate links on Pinterest, but most people are not on Pinterest to buy but to look. As such, focusing your affiliate marketing strategy on Pinterest might not be the best use of your time. Review posts, for example, might be better at tipping people over the line into buying.
You are in the drivers seat as far as how long it lasts but I know once you see how awesome WA is you won’t want to leave. I will be here to answer any questions you have and help you get started. Feel free to message me anytime and I would be more then happy to help you out. I hope this has answered your question and if you have anymore questions please let me know.
That being said, I want to give you an idea of what I earn, so you can see what's possible. I don't like to “show off”, but here's income proof. These screenshots prove that yes, I actually make money online. I've been making over $10,000 per month for many years now. You'll have to make your first dollar before you earn ten thousand though, so keep reading below to see how you can get started doing the same type of business I do.
Honestly, I think this website can help people learn about buildings website, but you have to spend a lot of money and time to achieve something. I been a member for a year. Didn’t make any money, but I paid 359 US$. But in the same time, I learned a lot about building websites. I am not happy about them right now because after I stopped my yearly membership at June 13, 2017. They took my money 359US$ and shut down my account. Now I couldn’t even log in my account, on my web page, showed ether I become monthly or yearly membership. I couldn’t even log in, but I remember free membership is allowed. Right? What is going on here?. The good thing is my bank promised me I will get my money refund. So, not too bad, at least I didn’t lost my money. They are not very kind to the people don’t want continue their membership. Very disappointed.
I would suggest that you get started by creating your FREE account by clicking on the “Become A Member” button above. I will be contacting you within an hour of you joining to welcome you to the community and answer any questions you have Kath. I really am looking forward to working with you and helping you get an online business setup and up and running. I hope this has answered your questions and if you have anymore questions please let me know and I would be more then happy to answer them for you and help you out.
I've seen people posting in the community just to get attention and validation from other members. Those kinds of antics belong on Facebook, not Wealthy Affiliate. Just be careful with what you're posting in the community. Post only when you can help someone or need help. If you find yourself posting to earn likes and street cred, it's time to refocus on building your dream lifestyle.
Thanks for all the information I am slowly working my way through your list of do’s and donts! ! I’ve been approached by a website that wants to develop editorial content for my blog featuring home improvement tips from their”national client” and pay me $40 a year for reviewing and publishing their content. Boy, I am just not sure how this all works? Any words for when we are approached by others to write for our blogs?

I am thinking about joining but I am not sure what I am getting into. I would like to have an online business just what you state but I dont have any products to sell. You help set up a website but what would it include in the website. Will I be able to join for affiliate business programs that i can sell for the other business companies? I know you have tutorials but It sure will be confusing to me and can be frustrating. Will there be a do it for you for this business that i can lead what I want to promote or sell?

WA members are welcome to review the program, unlike many MLM members. MLMs companies force their members to sign a non-disclosure agreement, meaning that these people will never be able to publicly review and expose the company and its practices. I managed to find a few negative Wealthy Affiliate reviews and complaints online and I came to the conclusion that these reviews were written for personal reasons. Mistakes happen, misunderstanding happens and every single business will have at least one customer who isn’t going to be happy.

You also will be able to use the Live Chat feature. Live chat is where members ask questions to other members. The community encourages people to pay-it-forward, so successful affiliates like myself, try to hang around to answer questions in live chat throughout the day. You'll get direct access to me and a host of other full-time affiliates for the first seven days of your free Wealthy Affiliate membership.
Thanks for the informative article! I’m just wondering since I signed up for some course in the past but they required more time time investment than I expected. As I have some other personals goals so I’m just wondering as you said it takes few weeks to get things up and running, but getting commission is different story. So what is required after having website done to get commission? and How long would that take? and how much time does it take to for regular maintenance? Thanks so much!

If you have spent any considerable amount of time researching Wealthy Affiliate you might have realized there are virtually no bad reviews about WA online. Whenever you think of customer’s rant and feedback you realize that unhappy customers are a lot more tempted to leave a bad review online than the satisfied once. This is true for restaurants, dentists, car dealerships and of course online training programs. Well over 100,000 people have joined Wealthy Affiliate since 2005 and as you can see the vast majority is completely happy with Wealthy Affiliate and everything it has to offer. This is why it’s almost impossible to find any bad press about WA online.

Thank you for your reply. When I said about borrowing from other articles, I didn’t mean just copy and paste from other articles and put them into my articles. What I meant to ask was; Can I take ideas, keywords, structure, knowledge about certain topics from other articles and do some of my own research on them and put them into my articles, even if I may not have use or done them personally? Will that be a good practice or article writing way for me? Please let me know. Thank you again.
I’m a student and a complete newbie to this online business. Don’t have the slightest idea how to put together a website or blog or write content, let a alone drive traffic to them to earn money, sounds like a mountain to climb. Nonetheless I am an internet addict(could spend close to 10hrs online daily). Really desire to be a super affiliate marketer and make money online, can WA hold me by the hand and take me through to my destination with my zero experience?
Ok so I’ll bite. Tell me why someome that searches for any kind of product wouldn’t just go to the direct supplier rather than filtering through a long winded site to eventually click on an affiate link? If one happens to fall upon someones website as result of a search word only to discover an implanted link takes them to the actual seller, what keeps them from exiting their website and then going directly to the actual seller’s site, such as Amazon for one? I do this all the time.
If you really do want to take the cheap route you don’t even need your own domain name you can just use the free websites from WA and build your websites out on your own. To answer your question about transferring the domain, If you bought your own domain from Go daddy, Namecheap, or any other domain registrar and you had it hosted on WA as a premium member and decide to leave you have 30 days to transfer it to other hosting.
Wow–this was extremely thorough. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain everything. I learned quite a bit!! It’s awesome that you have been with WA 6 years–that is quite the testimony and you clearly understand all of the ins and out and really love the program. You were very detailed and explanatory in this post and it was very appreciated. I now feel like I really understand what WA is all about. Thanks so much!
I’m glad you have found my review of WA to be helpful and let me take a few minutes to answer your questions about WA. When you join WA you will be learning how to build your own online business. You do this by choosing something you’re interested in or a hobby of yours and building a website around this hobby. There’s in depth training and task based lessons that walk you through everything from choosing products that are related to your interests to showing you how to apply to companies like Amazon, Target, Best Buy and many other top retailers online that sell these products.

Yes it is definitely not a get rich quick scheme, it takes A LOT of work – which is what I try to get across in this review. You need to be comfortable with doing a lot of work for 6 months and not get paid a dime. That is not something that many people can follow through with. But it is, unfortunately, part of the process, and it can lead to very satisfying results later on.

Wealthy Affiliate is a training program that teaches you how to do affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is an avenue where people can earn money promoting other people’s products or services. This is the best place for any beginner to learn because they have a conducive step by step training that will bring you through every step of your journey.
I have no marketing talent whatsoever, but, I am happy to know that I can learn marketing talent and skill from Wealthy Affiliate. I do have a desire to make money online, and according to the reputation of Wealthy Affiliate, it seems like a viable choice to enlist their services. However, I have not the slightest idea of what good or service I could market and I’m skeptical that whatever idea I may have has already been done and is more popular and of more use than whatever good or service I have in mind. In this case I like the philosophy “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” I would add that I do have an interest in video games, making a website to encourage consumers on their purchasing decisions and increase their knowledge about video game software and hardware is an inventive suggestion, but isn’t there already many YouTube channels that do just this? Furthermore, even if I made such a website, I wouldn’t want to make money by scamming or much less spamming people with shameless product placements and advertisement placement populating the majority of such a website.
I also see that they are very heavy on people just re-adding for them (WA) and I see that most sites created by WA members are bland repeat-a-phones about personal health & well-being including of course working on your hobby and making money from it through ads for WA. and affiliate sales. My site was about recovering from smoking addictions through my own phone coaching (and knowledge of addictions), and after 3 months and no clients I passed out some real business cards and then cancelled my sub to WA and then discovered that I could not get back into WA even though I still have paid membership time left...and also discovered that even though the site will still show up for 30 more days, without being able to get into the administration area, I'm not sure I can even transfer the site to another host and domain name. I feel as if my intellectual property might be in the process of being stolen.

The business that I started with the help of WA is this website you are visiting right now. This is where I make most of my money, I have a few others that makes me a couple hundred a month. I am currently enrolled in the boot camp program that Wealthy Affiliate has. This website is the outcome of the boot camp training and it has been one wild ride.

Whenever someone purchases the product you recommended to them through your link you get paid a commission. How much you get paid varies from one company to the next. Some affiliate programs pay anywhere from 4% all the way up to 75%. It just depends on the affiliate program. You would just need to drive targeted traffic to their website and help them make more sales (All of this is covered in the training at WA)

Needless to say, I was blown away pretty quickly. Even by signing up for their free membership option, it was very apparent that Wealthy Affiliate does things differently. The community, recorded training, live ongoing weekly training sessions, live chat and support options, and business-like approach for beginners to pros alike really blew my mind.
