Needless to say, I was blown away pretty quickly. Even by signing up for their free membership option, it was very apparent that Wealthy Affiliate does things differently. The community, recorded training, live ongoing weekly training sessions, live chat and support options, and business-like approach for beginners to pros alike really blew my mind.
Jaaxy is the most powerful online keyword research tool out there, which relates to the affiliate online business model that Wealthy Affiliate teaches. Street Articles is an article directory that used to be a tool for WA members too. They could write posts there about the same topic their sites were about to create backlinks to them and boost their rankings. After Google changed its algorithm, backlinks started to be seen differently at Google’s eyes so this tool stopped being so important as before.

Yes it is definitely not a get rich quick scheme, it takes A LOT of work – which is what I try to get across in this review. You need to be comfortable with doing a lot of work for 6 months and not get paid a dime. That is not something that many people can follow through with. But it is, unfortunately, part of the process, and it can lead to very satisfying results later on.
Everyone is different when it comes to learning a new skill. Some people can go through the lessons rather quicker then others. You are building a business here and you don’t wanna rush through this because you could miss out on something if you go too fast. Once you start going through the lessons you will be getting your website setup and running.

Wow! Where to start first/ Great review and very detailed. I liked the part about how you started. The review itself was laid out in a very in order and organized manner. Very easy to understand and I felt as though you were talking face to face with me. I liked your reasons to join and reasons not to join. The whole decision process is pretty straight forward for the reader once he or she has finished reading the review. Nice work, and well done.
Thanks for the review I have been looking into WA and a couple other programs for a couple of weeks. I have decided WA is the way to go! However, I still have a couple of questions. They have probably been answered but I need some more clarification please. 1) I will not be paid by WA directly unless I am a part of their affiliate program, correct? Payments from other Companies come directly from the other companies? 2) This seems a little overwhelming. Is there a course of action for a newbie?
And I always suggest people to be honest. I am not sure where you got the idea that you need to scam people or spamming people in order to make money online. In fact, I think honest reviews and suggestions work much better. Many of those low quality websites that spam people or publish a bunch of dishonest reviews fail within a few months. Honesty is the only way to go in my opinion.
How many months/years did it take you to make your first $1000 at WA? What is a good niche to choose initially? Do money making/home business blogs make the most money? And is it advisable for a newbie to start at WA with a money making blog? Other than paying for the wealthy affiliate yearly membership, how much does one have to pay for other things like web hosting, autoresponder, themes, domain name etc? eg how much would you have spent on this website other than what you pay to WA?Is this site hosted by WA? If I already have a website-does it still help to join WA?
This is how the magic happens. When you sign up for an affiliate program, you’ll be assigned a specific ID or username. You’ll use the affiliate program software to generate links to the products you are recommending. Any affiliate links that are generated will contain this ID or username. That way, the merchant knows who’s promoting their product and who to pay!
If you can follow simple directions and take action on the daily tasks there’s no reason why you won’t be successful with this program. I have been making a full time living from this for close to 2 years now and my income is constantly growing more each day. Also my spelling and grammar were horrible when I first started but I didn’t let that stop me from reaching my goals.
Know when to wait. Some affiliate programs require a certain level of traffic, subscribers, etc. If that’s the case, I say it’s better to wait to apply for that program instead of applying and hoping for the best. You risk being labelled the person who can’t follow guidelines and you might also risk not be allowed into the program when you do meet the qualifications.
I’ve been reading your reviews on WA for awhile today and am extremely pleased to have found you! This post brings up a question: if I am an affiliate for a writer’s group I belong to, I receive discounts on all of their training products. Can you explain how would I receive monetary compensation for being an affiliate (or as a distributor for health care products, for example, and an essential oil company that I also belong to) and by driving traffic to their websites? Also, if I have multiple websites do I then need to maintain blogs for each one to maximize Google traffic or can they in anyway be linked to streamline this process?
I will be there to help you out and answer any questions you may have prior to getting started. If you haven’t done so already I would suggest that you open your FREE account and spend a few minutes completing your profile with an image and description. I will be sending you a message within an hour of you joining to welcome you to the community and answer any questions you have.
So a question I have, just because it didn’t jump into my eyes – does this Wealthy Affiliate Program also include knowledge about list-building? Because this is what i get so far – I should build a following by providing some kinda value to people that click on ads that I place on the internet.. I know – you can’t explain everything – but my question is – do you think I find “everything” here kinda “step-by-step”. Seen that you don’t call SFM a SCAM leaves me unsure, if I should go on a while – and just stay cirtical. What’s your opinion?
You do make an interesting point. However, whenever I start a new website I am basically starting from scratch. Posting links left right and center will not get you anywhere, it’s the hard work that counts. And to tell you the truth a lot of people do NOT want to do the hard work. This is why many give up rather fast which creates more opportunities for those who are willing to put in the effort.
In order for your domains/ websites to get traffic and ranked in the search engines, you are going to need to have a good amount of articles written and have the foundation for your website in place before you can make any sales. The number of articles/reviews needed to make sales will vary from person to person and also depends on the niche. Personally for me, I have made money in 2 different niches so far in the 3 years I have been in this business. For the make money online niche (This website) it took about 30-35 articles to get a fair amount of traffic and for me to make my first sale.
Hey Alex. My name is Aida, from Nairobi, Kenya. This is very informative. Just came across Wealthy Affiliate in my rendezvous around the net. I’ve been in network marketing for about 8 months now…It was mostly exciting but the support system hasn’t been great! Made me start exploring ways of pushing my business through online sales/ leads and somehow landed on WA as one of two options I’ve found to be genuine. Your review is on point. I wouldn’t mind joining your network of Affiliate Marketing. Do you? Let me know how we can partner.
Solo Build It – As I stated earlier in this Wealthy Affiliate review, I initially learned how to start my own business with this service. Solo Build It is somewhat similar to Wealthy Affiliate as far as the training is concerned, but Solo Build It but I believe the training at Solo Build It is far superior. My favorite part about Solo Build It, however, is that they offer absolutely EVERYTHING you’ll ever need to grow your business online including domain registration, an intuitive site builder, research tools, hosting, and all the other tools you need are in one place with training on how to put it all together. You can learn a lot more about them by going through their video tour.
Wealthy Affiliate is an amazing platform. I signed up for it a few months ago and I love the environment and appreciate the help from others. The good thing about WA is that no one ever tells you that success comes overnight. You have to work hard to earn your spot in the online world. Sticking to the training and showing passion and patience will lead you to success eventually.
Absolute fraud. They will let you join community and have access “to all the knowledge in the world” they will provide some links that will actually not be any more helpful than any regular youtube video that you can get for free. And they will offer initial one month trial fee but after that automatically charge your credit card even if you don’t want to extend with them. Of course they will not tell you this. After that wealthy affiliate will bomb you with emails to join again pay again, extend your membership. All automatically pre made emails for every single holiday new emails will arrive with new offers, telling you they are sorry you left and that WA became so much better, just come back pay again and see for yourself 🙂 They also made through WA lot of “honest” WA review websites that will tell you how they are legit. I didnt understand all this before I gave them my money.
One important thing about affiliate marketing – or doing any business on the Internet for that matter – is to have patience. This is why you need to be affiliated with other affiliate marketers as well on a personal basis as the journey can sometimes be lonely. Being a part of a community gives you courage and the confidence to face difficulties. Also, you can learn a lot when you interact with other marketers. Join forums like Digital Point and Warrior Forum where you get to interact with the best of the affiliate marketing community.
The implementation of affiliate marketing on the internet relies heavily on various techniques built into the design of many web-pages and websites, and the use of calls to external domains to track user actions (click tracking, Ad Sense) and to serve up content (advertising) to the user. Most of this activity adds time[citation needed] and is generally a nuisance to the casual web-surfer and is seen as visual clutter.[citation needed] Various countermeasures have evolved over time to prevent or eliminate the appearance of advertising when a web-page is rendered. Third party programs (Ad-Aware, Adblock Plus, Spybot, pop-up blockers, etc.) and particularly, the use of a comprehensive HOSTS file can effectively eliminate the visual clutter and the extra time and bandwidth needed to render many web pages. The use of specific entries in the HOSTS file to block these well-known and persistent marketing and click-tracking domains can also aid in reducing a system's exposure to malware by preventing the content of infected advertising or tracking servers to reach a user's web-browser.[citation needed]
A: I get this question a lot! Unfortunately there is no answer to it. There are so many variables that it’s simply impossible to estimate the timeline of success. It all depends on your work ethics, your ability to take action, the industry (or niche) that you will create your business is, the amount of work you’re willing to put in and many many many other factors. I have seen people start making money with their online business in their first week, I have seen many others who took 6 months to see their first sale.
The entire reason I created this site is because as an affiliate marketer, I started getting upset with the lack of ethics and misinformation being spread from MANY affiliate marketers, especially as it pertains to the “make money online” niche. So many online marketers out there promise you quick easy money if you just sign up and pay for this or that. Quite frankly, I’m sick of it. Growing an affiliate marketing business is just like starting any other business – it takes time, effort, and a lot of trial and error. I won’t get into it here, but if you’d like you can read my honest article about how long it takes to earn a full-time living with affiliate marketing.
