Don’t feel bad though when I first started I did the same exact thing that you did. I posted ads and click bank links but I got no sales. I would suggest that when you join under me you use a new email and username that way you can start over fresh and I can get you started down the right path. To answer your last question, there really isn’t no answer for this because everyone is different.
Frank, my Girlfriend invested in a system called Digital Altitude some time back, not quite sure what that system consisted of as it sounded a bit strange to me a retired Automotive Tech of 40 plus years! Of course I invested in her hoping it was legal and something legit… Well they are being temporally shut down by the Federal Trade Commission while they’re being investigated… Was going to suggest Wealthy Affiliate! So has Wealthy Affiliate been checked out?
I’ve had a quick look at your site and the first thing I noticed is that it’s not sexy. Site design is so important. Anytime I come across an ugly website I hit the back button faster than you can say call-to-action. I also see that you only have two pages, there’s no identity or branding behind the site. You’ve also got a generic header logo that is usually applied by default when you install a theme. No custom logo’s or anything.

Most members I know do not promote Wealthy Affiliate. In fact some of the most successful members at WA build niche websites promoting products from Amazon and other affiliate networks. Personally I only started promoting WA once I was able to earn $7k – $8k with my niche sites that I built and grew because of WA’s training. Sure, some people jump into promoting WA right away but that wouldn’t me my first suggestion. Go to any platform, free or paid where affiliate marketers are making money – most will never show you their website.
You can take this passion and turn it into a full time business and that’s what you are going to be learning at Wealthy Affiliate. You get the products from whoever you decide to be an affiliate for. This could be Amazon, Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Gamestop, etc… When you sign up for their affiliate program, you are going to gain direct access to all of the products that they offer. WA provides you with training on how to market these products and how to be successful doing so. Once you get started going through the training all of this will start to make more sense to you and I will be there to answer any questions you have getting started.
I built 10 websites to 10 pages each, across 6 different niches. Built some socials to them and earned a few links to each one. I tracked the rankings for each site and noticed Google really took to 4 of my sites. So I poured most of my energy into my favorite two sites that started ranking fast and just let the other ones sit and age. Every now and then I go back and work on the others as long term projects, but I just ran with two of the four that were ranking well.
After completing the first 10 lessons of the “Getting Started” course — which took me about 7 days, since I had other projects to take care of — I saw that I was being offered a 59% discount on the first month if I decided to buy the Premium membership, before a countdown timer reached zero. (In fact, since I got in, I was given 7 days — not minutes, or hours -– to decide; this was nothing like those “act right now or you’ll never see this again” pressure marketing strategy).
Just take amazon as an example. In order to earn money from Amazon, you have to sign up as a partner with them. Once you have signed up, you will be given a unique affiliate link. You can promote this link by placing it in your own website, etc. When people clicks on that link, and purchase something, you make a commission from the successful sale. You do not need to handle the transaction nor are you selling stuff. You are connecting potential buyers to retailers.
I’m kind of nervous of trying this, after getting burned in the past by at home work…I’m looking for something that will help me pay through school. So my question is my passions are playing video games and writing poetry; how do I used this in a way to promote and earn money…P.S. I only need 60 dollars a month to pay for school for the next year (4 semesters left).

Needless to say, I was blown away pretty quickly. Even by signing up for their free membership option, it was very apparent that Wealthy Affiliate does things differently. The community, recorded training, live ongoing weekly training sessions, live chat and support options, and business-like approach for beginners to pros alike really blew my mind.

It's a little awkward, so we'll get straight to the point: This Monday we humbly ask you to defend Wikipedia's independence. We depend on donations averaging about $16.36. But 98% of our readers in the U.S. are not responding to our messages, and time is running out to help in 2018. If everyone reading this gave $2.75, we could keep Wikipedia thriving for years to come. The price of your Monday coffee is all we need. When we made Wikipedia a non-profit, people warned us we'd regret it. But if Wikipedia were commercial, it would be a great loss. Wikipedia unites all of us who love knowledge: contributors, readers and the donors who keep us thriving. The heart and soul of Wikipedia is a community of people working to bring you unlimited access to reliable information. Please take a minute to help us keep Wikipedia growing. Thank you.
Finally, if you’re only planning on “dipping your toes in the water” to see what affiliate marketing is all about, do not sign up for the premium membership. The free membership is more than enough for you to see what it’s all about. Premium membership should be reserved for those who are actually serious about building a real business for themselves. If you aren’t in this for the long-haul, there is no reason to waste your money.
These are some pretty broad interests and we can work on narrowing them down now that you have joined WA. It also looks like we have quite a few things in common as I have many of the same interests as you. I’m also a huge gamer myself and I’m passionate about electronics. One of my very first niches was electronics and this ended up being a busted niche and I failed miserably at it when I first started.
I think that now is the perfect time for you to sign up for your Free account by clicking on the “Join Now” button above. I would love to help you get started building an online business. Since school will be out here in the next month or so you will have lots of time to work on this. I will be there to help you out every step of the way and explain everything to you.
Now that I think about it, I never go to a restaurant that has one hundred 5 star reviews and not a single bad review – it’s impossible that every customer is 100% satisfied. My point is that out of 100,000+ members and 10 years in business Wealthy Affiliate only got 3 negative reviews from customers (at least I think they were customers). How much does that tell you about a company?
Although there is no exact answer to this question I can tell you this: The amount of money you can earn is directly related to what you do and how you do it. The folks who are highly successful have one thing in common – they followed the training to the dot and they took massive action. Learning how to do something is great but you need to apply this knowledge in order to actually start earning.
I read this great review of yours about WA and decided to give it a try since I live in SE Asia and am earning barely the minimum wage in America. But after registering, I got a message that Free Starter accounts are not available in my country and I have to choose from either the $47 monthly plan or $359 yearly plan. Do you think this is a worthwhile investment as a part time thing? (Taking into consideration the fact that I am not really knowledgeable or skilled in marketing, not to mention online marketing)
The modus operandi of WA is ALL about pretending to be a friendly membership training site, with videos, personal support, comments and chats with experienced affiliate marketers. You get a sense of a great, encouraging and welcoming community, in the beginning, just long enough to last you through the trial and to have you sign up to the monthly program.

If you don’t want to pay 10 different companies for 10 different services you’ll need to run your business, sign up with Wealthy Affiliate to get it all in one place.
