I already have a website and a domain name. My website is made with WordPress, and GoDaddy hosts the website. Would I have to move my website to another host, that is part of WA? Also I am thinking of keeping the website much the same way it is now(with a few changes). I already have a blog page, can I just add my links there? I have a gardening business, and I want to talk about ergonomic tools, pads, sun hats, shoes, bug spray, garden related art or jewelry, proper use of one’s body while gardening, getting the most from your gardening and achieving health and wellness through gardening. Not just the movement of digging, or hauling mulch, but with every technique I teach.
This was, by far, the most detailed and thorough review of Wealthy Affiliate I have ever read. Personally, I have been with Wealthy Affiliate for more than two years. I spent nearly six months loitering on the free starter membership before jumping into premium and then, of course, on to yearly premium. In hindsight, I wish I had jumped in much sooner.
I am a student. I have a goal of making about $100,000-$200,000(+)/year within the next 2/3 years with multiple income streams. I already am with an marketing company and they have given me 5/6 mini websites. But I want to have as much income streams as possible in other niches, along with the online business I have already. I have some idea about generating traffic to my mini websites, but I want to know how to convert the traffics into sales and leads. Do You think that’s possible if I join with wealthy affiliate? I am not really looking for money right now, just something that I can legitimately built up within 2/3 years of time. Also I noticed the WA premium membership allows upto 25 website domain or unlimited free websites; I am not sure. do I have to buy each of the domains if I sign up as a premium member? Also, in your opinion, how many articles minimum should an website on WA have to have good ranking? I am a total novice in article writing for business purposes and website building. Please let me know. Thanks!
I googled a product provider like Amazon and saw how much It would cost me to actually make a partnership with them, I was surprise to find it was free for the first month but than I saw after that, it was $25 per month? And than I was horrified to read further down the email that was sent to me, Kyle, claiming it took him three whole months just to earn his first dollar! I would have lost $50 by the time I saw my first dollar, which would have been about 80p because I live in the United Kingdom.
Scott~ I am interested in WA and seeing if I can “make it work”. Definitely willing to give it my all. But, I am looking to sign under someone who is definitely 100% available for support. In other words, not just leaving the support to what we get under WA, and not saying you’re there for support but that being just a sales pitch. I have found by experience that sometimes the individual you sign up under is very slow in responding or doesn’t check in periodically to see how you are doing or if you have any questions. They wait until they are contacted. I have signed up for a totally different on-line business venture, but the individual I signed under has NEVER contacted me. My only support comes from within the company itself. Definitely was just a sales pitch!
The fit must be right between you and the merchant who is going to benefit from your promotional efforts, or it simply won’t work. The easiest way to begin with affiliate marketing is to select an affiliate network. Many affiliate networks exist, some which are tied to well-known companies like Amazon, Google, and Apple, while others specialize in specific types of products and services.
In the case of cost per mille/click, the publisher is not concerned about whether a visitor is a member of the audience that the advertiser tries to attract and is able to convert, because at this point the publisher has already earned his commission. This leaves the greater, and, in case of cost per mille, the full risk and loss (if the visitor cannot be converted) to the advertiser.
As a premium Wealthy Affiliate member you do get access to building up to 50 websites, this does include hosting. Domain names are not included as that’s something that’s not owned or controlled by WA. All domain names are created and controlled by ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers). You can purchase the domain names directly through WA or your favorite domain re-seller. Typical cost is about $12-$14 per year, per domain.
When it comes to updating your blog – I don’t have a definitive answer for you. Some of my blogs see new content once a week. Others see new posts more often. I prefer to concentrate on quality and not quantity. Also I am creating more and more audio and video content for my brands and a lot of this content simply doesn’t make it to my blogs. In my experience it’s the consistency that matters. Pick your publishing schedule and stick to it for a year.

While any “regular” job requires you to be at work to make money, affiliate marketing offers you the ability to make money while you sleep. By investing an initial amount of time into a campaign, you will see continuous returns on that time as consumers purchase the product over the following days and weeks. You receive money for your work long after you’ve finished it. Even when you’re not in front of your computer, your marketing skills will be earning you a steady flow of income.
Hello Jack. I trust all is well with you. Please help me with a question I have. I would like to join wealthy affiliate after reading about your experiences with said company. I am new and know nothing about this business venture. I think, if I am correct being an affiliate is you are selling something on-line to the on-line public. And then you receive a commission for your sale. What I would like to know is after joining WA and studying their programs, you are set up and ready to go, where do you go to find products to promote and sell? And how do you know what products to promote? Is it like guessing , such as I think this product sounds like it ought to sell well and so on… please answer this one question. T hanks Jack. Have a good day I reside in Vancouver, British Columbia CANADA.
You also should not join Wealthy Affiliate if you don’t enjoy the community / social aspect of it. A huge part of Wealthy Affiliate is the ability to communicate with other members. It’s a “help and be helped” community. If you have no interest in setting up your profile, asking questions, supporting others, chatting in the live chat sessions, or doing any sort of participation, you will not get the full benefit of the service.
…But doesn’t being an affiliate for Wealthy Affiliate make me just another one of those affiliate marketers who is being biased and just trying to make a buck off of you? Well, ummmm…. Sort of! But at least I’m honest about it, right? I hope you give me a chance by continuing to read this Wealthy Affiliate review. I have no intention of making this one big sales pitch. I just want to provide you with the information and allow you to make your own decision. If I get a commission, great! If not, that’s ok too. Here’s a screenshot of my Wealthy Affiliate profile.
Ok so I’ll bite. Tell me why someome that searches for any kind of product wouldn’t just go to the direct supplier rather than filtering through a long winded site to eventually click on an affiate link? If one happens to fall upon someones website as result of a search word only to discover an implanted link takes them to the actual seller, what keeps them from exiting their website and then going directly to the actual seller’s site, such as Amazon for one? I do this all the time.
Personally, I think everyone should do the free membership first. Why would you start off with a paid membership when you get some of the premium features during the first seven days? Not only that, but the Level 1 Entrepreneur course is included with the free membership. Since that's the first module that all members should complete, you might as well do it for free.
Actually I’m writing this comment to ask you how do I join (to premium) wealthy affiliate through your affiliate link? I tried to find it from your article but can’t find it. Please let me know soonest because I’m currently on fire to start my empire with Wealthy Affiliate and I want my referral to be you as a credit of your beautiful writing on Wealthy Affiliate. 🙂
Thanks for your reply. Some of my interests are movies, sing, dance, chat, read, travel(haven’t done much), read, watching tv, electronics, computer, games, social media, sports, food, health, money, business and more. Some interests I like more than others. I know that was too broad of an answer. If possible, I’d like to write about as much of my interests as possible. I think I asked all I could think of. Anything else I haven’t asked that you think I should know about, being a newbie and all?

Affiliate marketing is also called "performance marketing", in reference to how sales employees are typically being compensated. Such employees are typically paid a commission for each sale they close, and sometimes are paid performance incentives for exceeding objectives. Affiliates are not employed by the advertiser whose products or services they promote, but the compensation models applied to affiliate marketing are very similar to the ones used for people in the advertisers' internal sales department.
Don’t take this statement as a rule but if you do go through WA training and build your business the way WA teaches you I don’t see why you can’t make $50,000+ in your first year. Most beginner internet marketers fail online because they do not follow a plan of action, get distracted by new shiny products that promise millions overnight and because they do not take enough action. Wealthy Affiliate will help you with all of it: Provide you with a realistic plan of action, courses that you need to follow and tasks you need to complete. Stay focused and you will be successful. You aren’t bothering me one bit and that’s why I’m here to help you out. I could send Kyle a PM myself and inform him of this issue. He usually gets back to me pretty quickly. What would you like your username and password to be for your account? I would also need to know what email address and the first and last name you would like to use for your account?
You'll get the same from me. Private message me anytime you need help or just want some words of encouragement. I will coach you through, step-by-step. Affiliate marketing is my absolute passion! I want to help as many people as I can. I'm thinking about doing site reviews and critiques but that might be a heavy load. We'll see. You can get your site reviewed within the Wealthy Affiliate platform as well.
I started a blog which I plan to monetize only through affiliate marketing and my own products, no ads. I’ve been working on building an audience for my blog, for about 1 year and a half, many people think is maybe too much time, but I just want to make sure that I build enough trust with my readers before I start to try to make them buy something.
Some merchants run their own (in-house) affiliate programs using dedicated software, while others use third-party intermediaries to track traffic or sales that are referred from affiliates. There are two different types of affiliate management methods used by merchants: standalone software or hosted services, typically called affiliate networks. Payouts to affiliates or publishers can be made by the networks on behalf of the merchant, by the network, consolidated across all merchants where the publisher has a relationship with and earned commissions or directly by the merchant itself.
Mistake #2: Using the “They must not be my people” excuse to be spammy. I’m not a fan of this common tactic. Here’s how it works: people send a huge number of sales/promotional emails to their list with no warning and with no easy way to opt out. When people complain or unsubscribe, they put it on them (“Oh well, they aren’t my type of subscriber anyway…”), instead of taking responsibility for the spam (let’s call it what it is). What ever happened to “treat others the way you want to be treated”?
What are some of your interests Scott and what are you passionate about? This is what your website is going to be based on and this needs to be narrowed down to a specific group of people. There are over 2 billion people online every day with this number constantly on the rise. The only thing you need to do is connect with these people and provide them with the information they’re looking for.
