Cost per click was more common in the early days of affiliate marketing but has diminished in use over time due to click fraud issues very similar to the click fraud issues modern search engines are facing today. Contextual advertising programs are not considered in the statistic pertaining to the diminished use of cost per click, as it is uncertain if contextual advertising can be considered affiliate marketing.
Now, to put things into perspective, anyone looking for a business online must first check the existing reviews of the members outside the WA community. Never believe any site that promises to earn a thousand dollar overnight. Because there is no get-quick-rich program on the internet. Anybody who tells you so is a liar. You have justified on that aspect too as you said that WA did not promise a quick rich.

Mistake #2: Using the “They must not be my people” excuse to be spammy. I’m not a fan of this common tactic. Here’s how it works: people send a huge number of sales/promotional emails to their list with no warning and with no easy way to opt out. When people complain or unsubscribe, they put it on them (“Oh well, they aren’t my type of subscriber anyway…”), instead of taking responsibility for the spam (let’s call it what it is). What ever happened to “treat others the way you want to be treated”?
Hey Penny, I am glad I was able to steer you away from Ameriplan and towards a real online business opportunity. The WA Affiliate Bootcamp is only a 1 tier program where as MLM programs are multi tier. This is what separates WA from MLM programs out there. There are many many, different ways to make money online the bootcamp is only one of them and WA teaches you how to do it all. I would suggest starting out with the free starter membership and see what you think of it. I would then at least sample the premium membership because it is significantly discounted 59% off on your first month. This is totally up to you though Penny whenever you are ready. Once you join I will be there to guide you down the right path and show you how to make money online from the thousands of different products and services out there. I look forward to working with you and I will talk to you soon.
I discovered your review on WA by first searching the web for reviews on Ameriplan. I am looking to obtain my Associates Degree in Applied Science with a 4.0 GPA within a month and I will need to begin to generate some income. I am hoping to not have to leave the farm to generate this income. Farm girls don’t belong in the city. What exactly does a WA team member do? What is their Website for? Providing reviews on products? Selling products? Are we paid through commissions or by a “sponsor” company? I am able to invest almost unlimited time into this right now as my school benefits carry on about another month and I have basically completed my classes (just waiting on instructor generated material).
From the very start until now, my experience with Wealthy Affiliate was and is just wonderful. I'm not so young anymore and I tried a lot of other affiliate platforms but they were just not good and what most bothered me about them was their upsells. Not with Wealthy Affiliate, you get what you paid for. The community is wonderful, when I'm not sure about anything I just have to ask and I will get my answer promptly. The tools that you get to use are superb and you can grow your online business without a hitch. I would recommend Wealthy Affiliate to anyone who wants to better their lives, it's worth it.
I think it’s great that you can start a free account without providing a credit card. And from what I can see, it’s not a “free trial” where you will only get so much time and then you have to pay. It looks like you can work in the free version indefinitely if you wanted to. That’s really cool. So if you don’t want to commit to paying for Premium, you never have to.

Great article, Zach. The one question I have is about hyperlinking the brand name with your affiliate link. Isn’t it a little annoying for the reader if the brand name is hyperlinked throughout the article? It may even seem obvious to the reader that the blog is promoting an affiliate product. In an article with 1000+ words, a brand name may be mentioned at least 10-15 times. Do you suggest hyperlinking the brand every time?

So actually, the reason I personally signed up for Wealthy Affiliate is likely much different than the reason YOU want to sign up. Chances are, you want to learn about how to make money online legitimately, learn how to build a website, how to blog, and more importantly, how to earn money from that blog. I wasn’t looking for that. I already knew how to do all that stuff. Instead, I signed up as a way to vet the training, tools, and resources provided by Wealthy Affiliate because I wanted to see if it was something I could promote on this very website you’re reading.
Once you sign up and they approve you, then you will be given access to their back office area where you will be assigned a unique affiliate id link. What you will be doing next is creating product reviews that target a specific set of keywords. This should be keywords that are related to products and services within the healthcare industry. You should place your unique affiliate links at the bottom of your review pages and tell people that they can get more information and get the lowest price on the product by clicking on your affiliate link.

First and foremost I do Buisness with Wealthy Affiliate and as the first time building my online business I have earned income by referring my friends, colleges and family member to WA and I had build my own sites afar from WA and selling products ALREADY!! They are NOT A SCAM!! Unlike other business like Aspire Digital Altitude or Counter Profits etc.... As my experience continues with Wealthy Affiliates they were the most inexpensive services provided and not just only that there are other people that already has online business thatg needed more training to have their business to drive more traffic through the search engines for cheaper price on the plug ins versus an outsource other than Wealthy Affiliate.

There’s also the fact that Wealthy Affiliate is not and never claims to be a get-rich-quick strategy. You will learn how to build a real, legitimate online business and one that can earn you some serious cash, but just like any other business, it is going to take a lot of time, effort, patience, and support along the way. If you have realistic expectations, are willing to learn from those who have succeeded before you, and you’re willing to put at least 6 months into your business before you see any profits at all, than Wealthy Affiliate is a good place for you.
He has made lots of success in the time he’s been here and I know that you could as well if you are willing to work hard at this and make a long term commitment to building a business online. I will also be there to help you out and answer any questions you may have along the way. I would suggest that you get started by clicking on the become a member button above. Fill out a few simple details and you’re in. I will be contacting you within 60 mins of you joining to welcome you to the community and answer any questions you may have getting started.
Some merchants run their own (in-house) affiliate programs using dedicated software, while others use third-party intermediaries to track traffic or sales that are referred from affiliates. There are two different types of affiliate management methods used by merchants: standalone software or hosted services, typically called affiliate networks. Payouts to affiliates or publishers can be made by the networks on behalf of the merchant, by the network, consolidated across all merchants where the publisher has a relationship with and earned commissions or directly by the merchant itself.
As a WA member, I have shared my website as others have shared theirs with me. There are also excellent course modules that take you step by step on web set. Yes, there are those whose only interest is selling WA membership…. it’s easy and not as time consuming as starting a niche business. Personally, I promote the membership and will continue to do so until my web business launches.

As far as writing content I would suggest that you follow the training and ask questions when you have them in the comment thread below each lesson. You would simply need to do some in-depth research on these other companies just like you did for WA. After you have compiled this information simply put it in your own words and write it in a way that it speaks to your audience.
For example, if you love video games – you should start a website that talks about video games and helps people make a purchasing decision. If you love motorcycles – you can start a website that talks about motorcycles, motorcycle accessories and parts to make your bike better. On this website you can tell people about all of those awesome products and tell them where they can buy these products (Amazon, etc.) and whenever people make a purchase – you get a commission! You do not need to take care of the warehouse storage, shipping, payments, customer service – you simply help people find the products they already want and you get paid for it.
Wow thanks for sharing this great resource which is Wealthy Affiliate. I have joined as their premium member too, for just a few months now, definitely not as long as you’re in it. But I know right now already, that I’ll be there for the long haul. I have already set up my first website, and it’s starting to get some traffic from search terms. Next I’ll be focusing more on tapping on the traffic to generate some revenue. So I definitely have only good words for Wealthy Affiliate, what they teach there is superb stuff, and it works!

By all means take as much time as you need and go over the starter lessons as many times as you want. You can continue building out your website until you are ready to take things to the next level and upgrade to premium. What’s your username at WA so that I can look you up and did you sign up through me? I really am looking forward to working with you Carrl and helping you out in any way I can.

1. Finding a mentor – When you first get started with affiliate marketing, you need guidance. You will have a million questions to ask and having a mentor really does make a significant difference in terms of starting you off in the best possible way and giving you the correct advice you need to start taking action and build your internet business.
Merchants receiving a large percentage of their revenue from the affiliate channel can become reliant on their affiliate partners. This can lead to affiliate marketers leveraging their important status to receive higher commissions and better deals with their advertisers. Whether it’s CPA, CPL, or CPC commission structures, there are a lot of high paying affiliate programs and affiliate marketers are in the driver’s seat.
This was, by far, the most detailed and thorough review of Wealthy Affiliate I have ever read. Personally, I have been with Wealthy Affiliate for more than two years. I spent nearly six months loitering on the free starter membership before jumping into premium and then, of course, on to yearly premium. In hindsight, I wish I had jumped in much sooner.

If you treat this like a real business and put lots of time and effort into it you will definitely start to see your hard work paying off. If you haven’t already I would sign up for your FREE account by clicking on the join now button above. Once you are inside you should complete your profile setup by uploading a pic of you or you can use 1 of the ones WA provides you with.
If you did actually cancel your Wealthy Affiliate account before your renewal date and still got charged then I highly suggest getting in touch with WA support or emailing Kyle directly. Glitches happen from time to time and as far as I have seen WA always cancels these kinds of transactions. Also an account cannot be downgraded from Premium to Basic. You can however transfer your website away from WA if you wish to do so, even after you cancel your membership.
While you remain a starter there’s no limit to it. Just after 7 days you lose communication abilities, but you are still free to go through the training and build out your websites as much as you want. You can get your first month at an unbelievable discount of 59% off (Comes out to only $19) to give premium a test drive for 30 days to see if this is something you want to invest in before paying full price.

There was one thing that I did have, and that was a desire to learn this stuff and become successful in this business. It doesn’t matter if you are 16 years old or 60 years old. If you have a burning desire to succeed here, and you would like to learn a new skill that could change your life for the better than I would highly suggest that you check out WA.

After about 3 and a half months I had made my first sale and that was probably one of the best days of my life, I was so excited. It also confirmed that this was real and that anyone no matter who they are or what their skill level was could learn to do this. By my sixth month I was making around a couple hundred bucks a month with it increasing every day. I now am making a full time living from doing this and I absolutely love it.
…and the list goes on! The main thing to keep in mind is that your first website doesn't have to be perfect. It doesn't have to be a home run with your first try. I started three or four failed websites before I really got into the groove and picked a topic that worked for me. My very first websites was about horse care, and it didn't last long. My first successful website was about computer software!
Some advertisers offer multi-tier programs that distribute commission into a hierarchical referral network of sign-ups and sub-partners. In practical terms, publisher "A" signs up to the program with an advertiser and gets rewarded for the agreed activity conducted by a referred visitor. If publisher "A" attracts publishers "B" and "C" to sign up for the same program using his sign-up code, all future activities performed by publishers "B" and "C" will result in additional commission (at a lower rate) for publisher "A".

Your second question. Yes, there are people who created websites in a niche they have no interest in and they ended up making money. This does happen although very rarely. I always recommend working with a hobby or a passion simply because this will make everything easier and much more fun. Can you really keep creating content on a subject you’re not interested in? Probably not. You can however hire writers who will do it for you but that’s a different story.

I’m really glad you are enjoying the reviews! I can totally relate to how you must feel about devoting months of your time to a business that you aren’t 100% sure if you will ever start making any money from. Believe me I was very skeptical about joining and wondering if I was wasting my time by building a website that nobody would visit or buy anything from me. Now that I look back, I am glad that I stuck with it because it is definitely paying off now.
You could definitely use this as a starting point and take the knowledge you already have about outdoor water sports and expand on it. There are many different things you could discuss on your website. If there’s something you don’t know that much about you can always do research on the topic and have more then enough information to write about it. If you can help other people out in this niche(Topic) you can turn this into a full time business that makes full time money.
What are some of your interests Scott and what are you passionate about? This is what your website is going to be based on and this needs to be narrowed down to a specific group of people. There are over 2 billion people online every day with this number constantly on the rise. The only thing you need to do is connect with these people and provide them with the information they’re looking for.

One last note. I’ve been asked what I think of other affiliate marketing resources, both free and paid. I’m familiar with some of them, not all. I’ve read ebooks, watch videos, bought courses and more. So far, the only paid-for course that has impressed me enough to recommend is Kayla Aimee’s Affiliate Acceleration: Impactful Strategies To Increase Your Passive Income.

There is no shortage of products you’ll be able to promote. You’ll have the ability to pick and choose products that you personally believe in, so make sure that your campaigns center around truly valuable products that consumers will enjoy. You’ll achieve an impressive conversion rate while simultaneously establishing the reliability of your personal brand.
A: No, You don’t! Wealthy Affiliate does provide an amazing affiliate program but you aren’t obliged to promote it to make money. Unlike MLMs and other “business opportunities” WA will never force you to annoy your friends and family by trying to push them into your “downline”. WA is mostly about teaching you how to set-up a real online business where you could sell any service or product that you can find in stores or online.
The biggest issue I’ve had with previous training programs and marketing communities is how outdated they get. With a Wealthy Affiliate Premium membership, you don’t need to worry about that. New trainings are added daily including live weekly video training sessions. You can also search and browse past trainings they’ve created over the years. With a premium membership, you also get unlimited access to community features which is one of my favorite aspects of Wealthy Affiliate. I spend hours per day simply chatting and messaging people who clicked on my Wealthy Affiliate affiliate link. When they use my link to sign up, I get notified, and the personal one-on-one coaching can begin. No other platform has offered this option before.
