A. If you have read this Wealthy Affiliate review thoroughly you understand that WA is not a “money making system” of any sort. You don’t earn money from Wealthy Affiliate (although you can if you promote them). The main point is that you use WA as a training platform where you learn how to start an online business in any industry and than make money from that business. You also use Wealthy Affiliate support if you have any questions or get stuck along the way. Thousands of people within the community would love to help you out whenever you need help.
Hi Stacey, I can relate to you getting burned by other work from home offers as I have got scammed out of several thousands of dollars in the past. I just kept up my search and that is when I came upon Wealthy Affiliate. I came across them last year, and ever since then I have made it my mission to warn other people about work from home scams. I now try and lead everyone to a safe place to learn about working from home and online business. If you are looking for a place to help with school loans or making money online you have came to the right place.
With Premium Membership, you really get everything. I wouldn’t have gotten to where I am today if I haven’t sign up for premium. I was out of luck and out of cash when I first joined Wealthy Affiliate but I bite the bullet and focus on the things that really matter. Your chance of success increases tremendously with Premium because you get all you need to know and you get a damn quick response for all your questions.
The best overall assessment of WA I’ve read yet. I’ve been a member on and off since 2015 and I’m currently on the yearly membership through October. However, I’ve still not made any real money, although I’ve made a bit here and there. I will peruse your site. On the other hand, I will ask you straight up how you go about establishing affiliate partnerships? Part of my problem is I’m not clear about what to market. As a life insurance agent, I’ve tried that to no avail. I’ve also tried marketing WA itself with very minimal results. I’m an affiliate with Amazon, EBay, and Target but I’m doing nothing. To be fair, I have not been as focused on WA and affiliate marketing as I once was. I’m also a teacher and have returned to the classroom. I found myself in bankruptcy as the result of putting all my eggs in one basket, going full-bore with WA, spending all my time and credit there. I remain hopeful I’ll one day finally get it. I’m out of school for the summer and plan to spend at leas the next 2-3 months as close to full time as possible.
Affiliate marketers usually choose between a resource site and a review site for the type of content they intend to provide for their readers. A resource site contains all the information about products related to the industry and needs to be updated regularly so that it is top-of-mind for the customers. You post articles that generally talk about the industry, give overviews of new launches, talks about the changes in the industries, post how-to articles, and more.
You don’t need to have your own products to sell or you don’t need your own website. You will gain access to all the tools, training, and help and support you need to build a business online(This include your free websites) If you can only devote a couple hours a day to this that’s perfectly fine and I will be there to guide you every step of the way and lead you down the same path that I followed to be very successful online.
I agree that the internet can be a scary place when it comes to trying to find a legit place to learn how to make money online. It doesn’t matter if you have never touched a computer in your whole life or how old you are. If you can follow simple directions and have a determination to learn everything you can about Internet marketing, It will be impossible for you to fail. If I can learn this, I know that anyone can and I would love to take you by the hand and show you how to get started.
The best way to engage and tie-up with affiliates is to build up a reputation by providing good content. Connect with bloggers in the same niche as yours, cross-promote your products, and build a relationship with them. You can find successful affiliates through forums and online platforms. Some of the most popular affiliate networks are Clickbank, Commission Junction, Amazon Affiliate Programme, and Linkshare, to name a few.
After completing the first 10 lessons of the “Getting Started” course — which took me about 7 days, since I had other projects to take care of — I saw that I was being offered a 59% discount on the first month if I decided to buy the Premium membership, before a countdown timer reached zero. (In fact, since I got in, I was given 7 days — not minutes, or hours -– to decide; this was nothing like those “act right now or you’ll never see this again” pressure marketing strategy).
You can join these affiliate programs for free and they give you something called an affiliate link when you join. At the bottom of your review or article you insert your affiliate link and tell them they can buy the product by clicking on that link. If they buy the product through your link you make a commission on that sale. These can add up pretty fast after you get the hang of it.
The implementation of affiliate marketing on the internet relies heavily on various techniques built into the design of many web-pages and websites, and the use of calls to external domains to track user actions (click tracking, Ad Sense) and to serve up content (advertising) to the user. Most of this activity adds time and is generally a nuisance to the casual web-surfer and is seen as visual clutter. Various countermeasures have evolved over time to prevent or eliminate the appearance of advertising when a web-page is rendered. Third party programs (Ad-Aware, Adblock Plus, Spybot, pop-up blockers, etc.) and particularly, the use of a comprehensive HOSTS file can effectively eliminate the visual clutter and the extra time and bandwidth needed to render many web pages. The use of specific entries in the HOSTS file to block these well-known and persistent marketing and click-tracking domains can also aid in reducing a system's exposure to malware by preventing the content of infected advertising or tracking servers to reach a user's web-browser.
I am a new member to WA and was just checking out some sites that might be an affiliate of WA. Very nicely done and informative. Look forward to chatting and sharing ideas as time goes on. I have researched and bought numerous training systems and found nothing as good as WA. It will be nice helping other people to find the training their looking for to develop an online business, as the economy is somewhat challenging.
Yes this opportunity is available nationwide and is open for everyone. If you are living in the US then yes you can sign up for your FREE account by clicking on the Big Blue Become A Member button above. Fill out a few basic details and you are in. I will be contacting you within the first 60 minutes of you joining to answer any questions you have and welcoming you to the community.
I’m glad you have found my review of WA to be helpful and let me take a few minutes to answer your questions about WA. When you join WA you will be learning how to build your own online business. You do this by choosing something you’re interested in or a hobby of yours and building a website around this hobby. There’s in depth training and task based lessons that walk you through everything from choosing products that are related to your interests to showing you how to apply to companies like Amazon, Target, Best Buy and many other top retailers online that sell these products.
Hi there, I see where you just signed up today and I look forward to working with you inside of WA and helping you get started online. I have fallen for quite a few scams online as well and have lost thousands of dollars before so I can relate to your feelings about online marketing. I can assure you that you will no longer have to search for another program. WA teaches you everything you need to know about affiliate marketing and many other ways to make money online. Welcome aboard, and if you need any help getting up and running please let me know.
The truth is, building an online business is not a perfect fir for everyone. Entrepreneurship is not for everyone and Wealthy Affiliate is not for everyone. One of the biggest differences between WA and many other training platform is the barrier of entry, WA is free to join. Sure, the free membership doesn’t give access to all of the training but it gives more than enough for a person to decide if they like the platform or not. Unfortunately some people want a free (or very cheap) training, support and they also want a profitable niche handed to them on a silver plate.
Before you get into the thick of things, you need to select a niche that you are comfortable with. It is best if you have some formal learning in it, but it is perfectly all right to be a newbie to the sector, as long as it is a topic that you like researching on and writing about. To be an affiliate marketer, you need your own platform – a website or a blog where you can post links and advertise your chosen products.
Hey Alex. My name is Aida, from Nairobi, Kenya. This is very informative. Just came across Wealthy Affiliate in my rendezvous around the net. I’ve been in network marketing for about 8 months now…It was mostly exciting but the support system hasn’t been great! Made me start exploring ways of pushing my business through online sales/ leads and somehow landed on WA as one of two options I’ve found to be genuine. Your review is on point. I wouldn’t mind joining your network of Affiliate Marketing. Do you? Let me know how we can partner.
Hello Jan, IIU is one of those overpriced scams that I have reviewed in an earlier post. I know it’s kinda late for you now since you have been in for 8 months now with no success. If you would have joined Wealthy Affiliate you would have been well on your way to earning a nice income for yourself by this time. I would highly recommend that you at least check out their Free starter membership and try it out for yourself. I know that you will love it and find that it is the real deal.
So actually, the reason I personally signed up for Wealthy Affiliate is likely much different than the reason YOU want to sign up. Chances are, you want to learn about how to make money online legitimately, learn how to build a website, how to blog, and more importantly, how to earn money from that blog. I wasn’t looking for that. I already knew how to do all that stuff. Instead, I signed up as a way to vet the training, tools, and resources provided by Wealthy Affiliate because I wanted to see if it was something I could promote on this very website you’re reading.
When I first started, it took me 2 hours during weekdays and 4 hours or more during weekends, and this schedule lasted for about 4 to 5 months. (That is till I got my first commission) Then now it is about 1 hour every weekday and 2 hours during weekends. Of course, I will work more if I have the time because I am passionate about my online business.
I hope you found this Wealthy Affiliate review to be helpful as I put a lot of time into this, but if I didn’t answer a question you have, feel free to comment below, and I will try to give you the best answer I can. The bottom line is, Wealthy Affiliate is the absolute best place I have ever seen to get the training and all the tools you’ll ever need in one place. Plus, if you sign up using my affiliate link, I will personally provide 1 on 1 coaching for you. At the very last, you should consider signing up for the free membership first and just see what you think. If you’re serious about growing an online business, my guess is you’ll be more than satisfied.
However, I know what you are referring to. You found the information about Amazon Sellers. If you want to sell your OWN product on Amazon you will have to pay $40/month (25 pounds?) as a vendor but that’s a totally different business and that’s not what Wealthy Affiliate teaches you. How I know the difference? I have been an amazon associate since 2008 and Amazon Seller since 2015.
Affilorama – While I promoted Affilorama in the past, I no longer do for many reasons. It has simply become too outdated. Affilorama also lacks in some of the training. Instead, they focus on helping you get started quickly by designing a site for you and seeding it with content. Some of the optional training courses they sell are quite expensive and compares to an entire annual membership at Wealthy Affiliate, so that’s why I no longer promote them. Again, they are worth checking out, but I think Wealthy Affiliate is a much better buy.
You need to introduce the product to your potential customers first. You do this by writing helpful and in depth reviews on the products and tell people as much as you possibly can about the product (Kinda like pre-selling it) Then on your review pages, this is where you put your affiliate links and drive traffic to the vendors page. Yes, you do need a website.
It’s not my “set up” so I can’t tell you how many people remain for 12 months or longer. There are several people that joined through me in 2008 who are still active members though. Some people build successful businesses and decide to stay on indefinitely because of the constant flow of new information, training and of course the Wealthy Affiliate community.
Easy to start: The investment required to get into affiliate marketing is not much. Apart from the costs associated with buying a domain and hosting it, there is no other cost involved except for maybe a tool or two (such as benchmarking tools to test product performance, and the like) which would still not put a dent in your wallet. You can write the articles by yourself; if you think writing is not something up your alley, you can outsource the content to freelance writers.
I read a lot of good comments from here. I guess WA is really a good instrument to earn money online. I just have a question. I would like to have my brother join this under you but he is located in the Philippines. He has a background of internet marketing. Is this open for internationals? And what would be the way for him to be getting paid? would that be through paypal? Check or bank transfer?? uhh.. im really confused.. Your answers to these questions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you and May you have more blessings to come!
And I always suggest people to be honest. I am not sure where you got the idea that you need to scam people or spamming people in order to make money online. In fact, I think honest reviews and suggestions work much better. Many of those low quality websites that spam people or publish a bunch of dishonest reviews fail within a few months. Honesty is the only way to go in my opinion.
As a member of Wealthy Affiliate, I highly recommend it myself. I also agree that in order to derive benefit or results, one has to put in sufficient time and energy. But other than that, with the help of WA training and support, the sky’s pretty much the limit. One can have 0 traffic or 100,000 visitors per month depending on how well one follows the instructions or training. I admit I myself have previously not followed all the instructions closely and spent too much wasted time on things that don’t matter very much (at least not in early stage of game) such as obsessing over which WordPress template to use, but now I remind myself to stay on track more and follow instructions.
In order for your domains/ websites to get traffic and ranked in the search engines, you are going to need to have a good amount of articles written and have the foundation for your website in place before you can make any sales. The number of articles/reviews needed to make sales will vary from person to person and also depends on the niche. Personally for me, I have made money in 2 different niches so far in the 3 years I have been in this business. For the make money online niche (This website) it took about 30-35 articles to get a fair amount of traffic and for me to make my first sale.
These are some pretty broad interests and we can work on narrowing them down now that you have joined WA. It also looks like we have quite a few things in common as I have many of the same interests as you. I’m also a huge gamer myself and I’m passionate about electronics. One of my very first niches was electronics and this ended up being a busted niche and I failed miserably at it when I first started.
so i’ve been searching and searching about wa! i’m a single mother so i have to provide for my daughter but am also quite poorly and am going to have to unfortunatly leae my job. i want to work from home with a decent income. i need to cover my current earnings (which isn’t much) and more. Before i take any further steps i do have some questions. I’m very much a newbie & not a techie really so my questions may be very stupid. Do you need a product to sell before joining wa because i don’t have anything myself to sell? how much can you potentially earn pcm? How long does it usually take till money starts coming in? what do you actually need before joining wa to make it worth while?
Let’s say you have a promotions page where you’re promoting a product via affiliate links. If you currently get 5,000 visits/month at a 2% conversion rate, you have 100 referrals. To get to 200 referrals, you can either focus on getting 5,000 more visitors, or simply increasing the conversion rate to 4%. Which sounds easier? Instead of spending months on blogging, SEO, and social media marketing to get more traffic, you just have to increase the conversion rate by 2%. This can include landing page optimization, testing your calls-to-action, and having a conversion rate optimization strategy in place. By testing and optimizing your site, you’ll get far better results with much less effort.
Once you've protected your prospecting pool, maximize your affiliate program by working with the best and leaving the rest. As the old 80/20 adage implies, most of your revenue will come from a very small percentage of your affiliates. Because it can be time-consuming to manage a larger affiliate network, consider selecting only a few companies initially, and interview them before signing them on. Affiliates are an extension of your sales force and represent your online brand, so choose partners carefully.
Thanks for kind words about my website, I really appreciate it. This template is from Wealthy Affiliate and I had another WA member make that logo for me for Free. This goes to show that WA members go out of their way to help each other out. If you are looking to join a community where people actually care about seeing you succeed online and don’t just wanna take your money then you are in the right place.
You will also have direct access to my expert help and support along with 1,000’s of other experienced marketers who will be there to answer any questions you have starting out. The only thing you lose access to after 7 days is the communication aspect. This means you won’t be able to ask questions, participate in the live chat or communicate with anyone. This is a premium only feature and you are given full access to this so that you can try out everything WA has to offer for 7 days without having to pay for it up front.
How much you get paid would depend on how many sales you made for the month and how much commission the merchant is currently paying. When you get to the point where you start making sales, then you would be paid on a monthly basis. Also, the more traffic you have coming to your site would also play a factor in how much money you would initially make.
2nd tier. If you are an affiliate for a particular program and you refer others to sign up for that affiliate program, a 2nd tier program will pay you when the affiliates you referred make sales. For example, I am an affiliate for Ultimate Bundles. If you join their affiliate program via my 2nd tier affiliate link here. I will get a small percentage of any sales you make going forward.
You are provided with 2 free websites to get you started and these are a sub domain and have the siterubix extension at the end of them (For example howtomakemoneyonline.siterubix.com) With the premium membership you get 25 of these sub domains as well as the ability to host 25 domains that you own on WA’s state of the art secure and high speed hosting that’s included with your premium membership.
Ok so I’ll bite. Tell me why someome that searches for any kind of product wouldn’t just go to the direct supplier rather than filtering through a long winded site to eventually click on an affiate link? If one happens to fall upon someones website as result of a search word only to discover an implanted link takes them to the actual seller, what keeps them from exiting their website and then going directly to the actual seller’s site, such as Amazon for one? I do this all the time.
Many affiliate programs run with last-click attribution, where the affiliate receiving the last click before the sale gets 100% credit for the conversion. This is changing. With affiliate platforms providing new attribution models and reporting features, you are able to see a full-funnel, cross-channel view of how individual marketing tactics are working together. For example, you might see that a paid social campaign generated the first click, Affiliate X got click 2, and Affiliate Y got the last click. With this full picture, you can structure your affiliate commissions so that Affiliate X gets a percentage of the credit for the sale, even though they didn’t get the last click.
One of the best review I have seen online in recent years! It is so simply written and so motivating. I am planning to join the WA, but as it happens, being a bit scared if it will give a return. As I am living in India, there is no free program for us so I need to pay out $49 in first month. Let see what happens. Currently thinking of a Niche, and that I will start off! Thanks for the review
I have no marketing talent whatsoever, but, I am happy to know that I can learn marketing talent and skill from Wealthy Affiliate. I do have a desire to make money online, and according to the reputation of Wealthy Affiliate, it seems like a viable choice to enlist their services. However, I have not the slightest idea of what good or service I could market and I’m skeptical that whatever idea I may have has already been done and is more popular and of more use than whatever good or service I have in mind. In this case I like the philosophy “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” I would add that I do have an interest in video games, making a website to encourage consumers on their purchasing decisions and increase their knowledge about video game software and hardware is an inventive suggestion, but isn’t there already many YouTube channels that do just this? Furthermore, even if I made such a website, I wouldn’t want to make money by scamming or much less spamming people with shameless product placements and advertisement placement populating the majority of such a website.
Although it differs from spyware, adware often uses the same methods and technologies. Merchants initially were uninformed about adware, what impact it had, and how it could damage their brands. Affiliate marketers became aware of the issue much more quickly, especially because they noticed that adware often overwrites tracking cookies, thus resulting in a decline of commissions. Affiliates not employing adware felt that it was stealing commission from them. Adware often has no valuable purpose and rarely provides any useful content to the user, who is typically unaware that such software is installed on his/her computer.
