Take as much time as you need man there’s no sense in being in a rush. I have been involved in this industry for over 2 years now and I’m running a successful website so let me know any time you have any questions. You are in no way forced to be a premium member and I don’t want you to think that. The premium option is there for people who are ready to take their business to the next level and beyond.

I have been reading the comments/reviews regarding this company and I am interested in joining, but I have a couple of questions before doing so. My main interest is cooking so I would like to put my own recipes on site would this sort of thing be of interest. Can you also tell me once the 7 day free membership has expired how much is it going to cost on an ongoing basis. What are the layout costs of starting this up if there are any. I am retired and I am looking for an interest but have no experience in this area as I worked for the NHS

Thanks Jack, I’m in South Africa so with the exchange rate it’s really hard to buy into these companies like Digital Altitude and The 4 percent, I even tried to get a loan from the bank but my credit is not good so I was declined, I need to start earning extra money so I can sort that all out, if I had lots of money I wouldn’t need to… I appreciate your Review and will definitely have a look at WA

Mistake #3: Giving your friend’s product a glowing review without actually being familiar with your friend’s product. This happens a lot in the affiliate marketing (and book marketing) world unfortunately. It’s a “scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours” type of situation. By all means, give your friend a glowing review, but if you haven’t actually read their book or taken their course or tried their product, don’t talk about it as though you have. Readers deserve honest recommendations! (Here’s an example of me helping to announce the launch of my friend’s book while being clear I hadn’t read it.)
If you set your mind to it you can achieve anything if you are willing to work hard at it. 80% of people who start out in affiliate marketing end up failing because they either don’t have the right training or they get overwhelmed with everything you need to learn to succeed in this business. If you are willing to work hard at this you can make lots of money but it’s not going to come easy.

The primary purpose of any review, including this review of Wealthy Affiliate, is to help you decide if you should or should not sign up or purchase something. For starters, since you can sign up for a free account at Wealthy Affiliate, I think that is a no-brainer way to go. Don’t take my word or anyone else’s word for it, go see for yourself! There is no credit card required or anything like that. It’s completely free to try.

The training will walk you through this same process and show you how to get on the first page of Google as well. I will be there to help you out and answer any questions you have about the training so don’t hesitate to let me know when you have any questions. I really am looking forward to working with you and I hope we can get you setup with your very own starter account.
Wealthy Affiliate was launched in 2005 and it has been growing and improving for all these years. The founders invest hundreds of thousands of dollars into the platform every single year. When I first joined in 2007 the site looked completely different and I must admit, it had less training and less support. They had less tools and the site navigation was complicated.
You also should not join Wealthy Affiliate if you don’t enjoy the community / social aspect of it. A huge part of Wealthy Affiliate is the ability to communicate with other members. It’s a “help and be helped” community. If you have no interest in setting up your profile, asking questions, supporting others, chatting in the live chat sessions, or doing any sort of participation, you will not get the full benefit of the service.

Concerning WA, free membership is not allowed in my country, and as a member of WA for quit a long time now you should be a able to to tell us the reason(S) why some countries are not eligible for free membership, or is there a communication gap between the WA founder and the members? Because that should have been a very good ground for some newbies like me to start with.

If you live in SE Asia there shouldn’t be no problem signing up for the starter membership at WA. This is a worldwide opportunity and it’s available to everyone. I would suggest going through the starter courses first, so that you can get a feel of what you will be doing at WA. After you have completed the starter training, and if you would like to continue your training, you can get your first month at an incredible savings of only $19 for your first month.
I have several blogs promoting all different products. The hardest thing I find about affiliate marketing is that once you’ve sold someone something you need to find a new product to sell them. I’ve found that promoting a subscription service where you sign up a customer is a great way to go. This way every time they renew or buy something you get paid. You only have to sell them this once.
ANOTHER marketing scheme for you to harrass your friends with and beg them to work-from-home and make money by blogging about what they 'love', when they will really end up monitoring one blog, the one that pays them for every fool who follows that yellow brick to Wealthy Affiliates and the dope behind the curtain. If you know anything about internet marketing already, you will see right through this.
I would love to help you with your blog. I am a copywriter and have been helping other people build their businesses by attaining Google traffic via their blogs. While WA can help you with that end of it, I can provide you with excellent content that will be of interest to those who are interested in purchasing your gift baskets and will generate repeat customers and grow your business by word of mouth. While my website isn’t active just yet, you can reply here or by email. Please feel free to contact me anytime when you are ready to begin blogging! I truly look forward to working with you.
Wow, what a thorough, and detailed review of Wealthy Affiliate. You have answered all of my questions, and then some. I now feel as though I have the information I need to make an educated decision. I am amazed at all of the benefits and training that Wealthy Affiliate provides, and 2 free websites to start out with. Anyone that has an interest in this program needs to see this review. Well done, and thanks for sharing. Tom
Sure, I could let the countdown timer reach zero before I made my decision and, when I felt comfortable about it, I would later pay the full price of $47. Even this amount is not that high. Think about how much you spend every day on your newspapers and magazines — when there are free online news sites — and how much that totals by the end of each month
You won’t get that at any job and I think that is just awesome. I would suggest you open up your Free account here and fill out your profile completely, then get started on the training lessons and if you get stuck or need any help along the way let me know and I will personally help you out and answer any questions you might have. I look forward to working with you Candice and if you have any more questions please let me know and I will be glad to answer them for you.
You don’t need to have your own products to sell or you don’t need your own website. You will gain access to all the tools, training, and help and support you need to build a business online(This include your free websites) If you can only devote a couple hours a day to this that’s perfectly fine and I will be there to guide you every step of the way and lead you down the same path that I followed to be very successful online.
Many affiliate programs run with last-click attribution, where the affiliate receiving the last click before the sale gets 100% credit for the conversion. This is changing. With affiliate platforms providing new attribution models and reporting features, you are able to see a full-funnel, cross-channel view of how individual marketing tactics are working together. For example, you might see that a paid social campaign generated the first click, Affiliate X got click 2, and Affiliate Y got the last click. With this full picture, you can structure your affiliate commissions so that Affiliate X gets a percentage of the credit for the sale, even though they didn’t get the last click.

There also appears to be a confusion about Amazon. Wealthy Affiliate concentrates on affiliate marketing, which means promoting products that are already being sold by other vendors. If you become an Amazon Associate (aka affiliate) you can promote every single product that is being sold on Amazon and make a commission on every sale. You can check out the associate program here. I guarantee you will not find a single mention of payment because Amazon Associate program is free to join. The first month, the second month, and always. Why would they charge you for promoting their products? It is completely free.
Warrior Forum WSO’s – This is the only option on the list I will actually tell you to stay away from. Warrior Forum WSO’s are almost always a rip-off and no amount of them will adequately teach you how to truly build a real online business. This forum community is owned by Freelancer.com and they will allow just about anyone to sell just about anything. The majority of them are very cheap, but once you give them your email address, get ready to be spammed. They also almost always include “upsells” where the initial product may only cost a few bucks, but all the other products they sell you within the first product costs substantially more. I could write all day about why you should never purchase a Warrior Forum WSO, but if you want to learn more, you can read my article about Warrior Forum WSO’s here.
Also, don’t forget that I will be there to help you out every step of the way Kathy and answer any questions you may have as well as help you out if you ever feel stuck. I really am looking forward to working with you Kathy and helping you build a business you can be proud of and I hope this has answered your questions. If you have any more questions feel free to either send me an email here or simply reply to this comment.
I am very interested in WA. I have tried a couple other programs and worked very hard at one in particular with absolutely no results. I would like to retire in a few years and need something I can do at home as we travel. My question is simple. How much time per day do you feel is required to get this business off the ground as well as how much time per day do you feel is required to maintain it. I work another job and want to be sure I am not biting off more than I can chew.
Also, having been priviledged to serve on the Board Of Directors of the Network Marketing industry’s professional association for 4 years, representing Canada (ANMP.com – Association of Network Marketing Professionals), a global, non-profit organization, which serves to educate, protect and support Network Marketers) – I guess I do feel somewhat “protective” of this industry.

As far as how much you get paid for each sale this will vary depending on what affiliate program you sign up for and how much commission they pay. It also depends on what products you promote within your niche. If you decide to promote high ticket items like Big screen TV’s then you can make quite a bit per sale. The monthly income potential is unlimited as this is something that you will be starting from scratch and building it up over time.
You will also have instant access to help from me along with the help of the entire community if you ever have any questions or need some help along the way. I would sign up for your FREE account by clicking on the join now button above. Within 60 minutes of you joining I will be getting a hold of you to answer any questions you may have and welcome you to the community.
Will my target audience realistically spend this amount for the product? Again, your reputation is on the line here. Is the product you are thinking of promoting priced reasonably for your audience? When I was writing my ebook, I was stuck on pricing. I asked around for opinions. A number of people suggested I price my ebook at $47! Their idea was to price according to value, not size. In my mind that was crazy. My network was composed of a lot of stay-at-home bloggers, and my collective audience was comprised mostly of people without a whole lot of disposable income. There was no way anyone was going to pay $47 for my 30-page ebook.
Once you get ranked and start getting some traffic to your site you’ll have lots of ways you can earn money from it and this is what you’re going to learn at WA. I will be here to help you out every step of the way and answer any questions you may have. If you haven’t done so already, you should sign up for your FREE starter membership by clicking on the blue button above that says become a member today.

As far as how many articles you would need to get some good rankings this would depend on if you do in depth keyword research before you write the articles. From my own personal experience, I had around 30 articles before I started to see a good amount of traffic to my websites and started making sales. This would vary depending on how good of research you do and how well you follow the training.

Thank you for the kind words and I would love to show you how to make money online just as I do. If you haven’t already I would get started by creating your FREE account by clicking the sign up button above. Get started by filling out your profile by uploading a picture of yourself or use one of the images WA provides you with. Then you will want to fill out your profile description by telling the community a little about yourself and what goals you would like to work towards.
I found your amazing beard oil case study and as I read through the other parts of your website I realized that I am really interested in Affiliate model. I joined your free email course (which is awesome by the way) and I already picked my niche! Signing up to Wealthy Affiliate tonight because I am ready to jump in and make it happen. I understand that building a business will require time and effort but and I’m ready to invest as much time and effort as possible.
I understand that WA has a built in solution to this — promote WA. That in itself is a business one can passionately dedicate himself to. This seems to be an excellent idea initially. But then we have to contend with the fact that there may be tens of thousands of WA affiliates who are in the same boat and who have nothing more to promote than WA itself. There is already a glut in this niche. That’s the reason why every time we do a search for product reviews, we almost ALWAYS end up with a product review done by a WA affiliate who is reviewing the product as a way to lead the visitor to joining WA as the better alternative to the business or product the visitor is researching on.

I have just talked to Kyle(Co owner of WA) and he said that India is one of the countries where the starter membership isn’t available. The only other option would be if you could select a different country and try to join that way. If that doesn’t work then you would need to go premium from the start. You can get your first month at a highly discounted rate of only $19 for your first month.
Hey Frank, I am writing to you because I have also been struggling with Inbox Dollars. As you mentioned they should have called it Inbox Pennies. After trying the inbox site and finding out that more than half the time I’m not qualifying for the surveys, I have become quite frustrated. Also the spinning billy is a barrel of laughs! Another reason I am contacting you is in the hopes that Wealthy Affiliate is on the up and up. I have tried a few other online money makers that I payed for, but backed out after learning more about them. I am disabled and in dire need of more supplemental income. Hoping this site is really legit. Hopes for the future, Duane.

Thanks for the informative article! I’m just wondering since I signed up for some course in the past but they required more time time investment than I expected. As I have some other personals goals so I’m just wondering as you said it takes few weeks to get things up and running, but getting commission is different story. So what is required after having website done to get commission? and How long would that take? and how much time does it take to for regular maintenance? Thanks so much!
If you don’t like to write, do not sign up for Wealthy Affiliate. The business model that Wealthy Affiliate teaches revolves around producing lots of great content to attract website visitors from search engines. This means, as you build your business, you’ll be writing just about every day, just like I do on this very blog you’re reading. I’ve already written almost 4,000 words in this one post alone, and it’s not even close to being finished yet. Affiliate marketing takes work, and if you are unable or unwilling to write a TON of content, don’t even consider getting into this. Being a writer will end up being your main job.
I discovered your review on WA by first searching the web for reviews on Ameriplan. I am looking to obtain my Associates Degree in Applied Science with a 4.0 GPA within a month and I will need to begin to generate some income. I am hoping to not have to leave the farm to generate this income. Farm girls don’t belong in the city. What exactly does a WA team member do? What is their Website for? Providing reviews on products? Selling products? Are we paid through commissions or by a “sponsor” company? I am able to invest almost unlimited time into this right now as my school benefits carry on about another month and I have basically completed my classes (just waiting on instructor generated material).
Premium membership costs you $19 the first month (if you take advantage of the 59% discount during the first 7 days after joining) and $47 the following months. You may cancel at any time, if you wish to do so. If you decide to pay on a yearly basis, the Premium membership will cost you $359. That would save you $205 than if you paid $47 per month during a year ($47 x 12 months = $564; $564 – $359 = $209 in savings, seems like a good deal!).

The best part about Affiliate U is the guy who runs it is a hustler. He has a no BS attitude, rolls up his sleeves, and gets sh*t done. The worst part is, he's always hustling so he doesn't have time to focus on the course. The course seems more like a side project than a central focus of the owner. I like hearing him speak and like reading his Facebook posts. They're motivational and his attitude is awesome. But the course itself is lacking some of the essentials.

The phrase, "Affiliates are an extended sales force for your business", which is often used to explain affiliate marketing, is not completely accurate. The primary difference between the two is that affiliate marketers provide little if any influence on a possible prospect in the conversion process once that prospect is directed to the advertiser's website. The sales team of the advertiser, however, does have the control and influence up to the point where the prospect either a) signs the contract, or b) completes the purchase.

When I came into this I had 0 experience as well and I knew that there was tons of potential after just the first couple of days. I would suggest that you get started by opening your FREE account by clicking the “Join Now” button above. After you fill out your details and get your account created you should spend some time filling out your profile.
Thank you for sharing this thorough review about Wealthy Affiliate of which l am also a premium member for a while. I am totally agree with you that Wealthy Affiliate is the best Affiliate Marketing Training platform in the industry. They do provide all the necessary features for you to succeed in your online business, but you must work hard and devote your time and effort into your training and business.
It is unfortunate to hear you weren’t able to make money online. Unfortunately I do not what kind of effort you put in and how you approached your own business so I can’t comment on the reasons why. I for a fact made more money online in my very first year than I made working a full time office job here in Canada. As you mentioned, creating a successful online business does take a LOT of work and time as well. If it was easy we’d all be rich. Building a business is a long term process and should be seen as such.
You should also make sure you aren't competing with your own affiliates for eyeballs. Any marketing channels you're using, such as search engines, content sites or e-mail lists, should be off limits to your affiliates. Put marketing restrictions into your affiliate agreement and notify partners immediately. It's your program--you set the rules. Or, if you prefer, you can let your affiliates run the majority of your internet marketing.
I’m kind of nervous of trying this, after getting burned in the past by at home work…I’m looking for something that will help me pay through school. So my question is my passions are playing video games and writing poetry; how do I used this in a way to promote and earn money…P.S. I only need 60 dollars a month to pay for school for the next year (4 semesters left).
All of this is taken care of for you by the company. You will be setting up a website that will be driving traffic to well known companies and you’ll get paid a commission when someone makes a purchase using your special affiliate id link that you will get when you join their affiliate program. All of this is explained in full detail when you join.

I will be getting in contact with you within 60 minutes of you joining to make sure you are finding your way around the community and answer any questions you may have. I am looking forward to working with you Maria and I hope this has answered all of your questions. Thanks so much for stopping by and if you have anymore questions let me know and I would be glad to answer them for you.

Regarding your other question, the overwhelming information is for those who are just starting online and don’t know anything at all about online marketing. But if you follow the training step-by-step there is no issue at all. The webinars are oriented either for new people or for advanced so, I recommend that you first join those webinars targeted to newbies.
First and foremost, I found this while doing research on these on line work from home business. I am just kind of put off with your review because honestly they way you described your actions and attitude to the company in general, I would have reacted in much the same way but I would not have been as nice about it. Let's face it....you were rude. You know what they say, "you get what you give. I don't think anyone out there who has out the time and effort into creating such a training program would be okay with any one skipping ahead to what they think they need. You came off like a know it all and nobody likes that. So in my opinion, you tried something, it didn't work so, you didn't get your way and so basically this is your rendition of throwing a tantrum...grow up!!!!
They are a very clever marketing company, and are everything they say they're not. Beware, and please read. They are smarter than most, which is why they have so many followers. They claim to have the key to training a person on how to successfully create their own lucrative work-from-home blog sites. They do claim to be a lot of work, require a lot of patience, blah blah swoon. You almost had me.
I am a HUGE fan of the “freemium” business model. Wealthy Affiliate follows that model by offering a free membership account. The free membership gives you limited access in the Wealthy Affiliate dashboard. Some of your access lasts forever, such as some of the training videos and community features, while other features only last for a limited time, such as the live chat feature. Here is what you get with the free Wealthy Affiliate Membership:
