2nd tier.  If you are an affiliate for a particular program and you refer others to sign up for that affiliate program, a 2nd tier program will pay you when the affiliates you referred make sales. For example, I am an affiliate for Ultimate Bundles. If you join their affiliate program via my 2nd tier affiliate link here. I will get a small percentage of any sales you make going forward.
Any amount of time you can spare developing your business is better than nothing. A lot of folks do this business part-time and make a decent income. There’s definitely effort and focus needed in the beginning, but maybe not as much as you think. There’s no cold calling, or direct sales, unlike other online businesses, there’s just a bit of learning and implementing what you learn.
My name is Brad and I'm a full-time affiliate marketer. I started trying to do affiliate marketing back towards the end of 2013 while I was working a full-time job in corporate America and living in St. Louis, Missouri. I struggled badly at first. It seemed hopeless because I wasn't making any progress. But I stuck with it for better or worse and joined Wealthy Affiliate in 2014.

This is a great question and it applies to anything and everything. For example you need hosting for your website and any place where you decide to host can shut down at any down. However, this is very unlikely. The same goes for Wealthy Affiliate, it has been only growing since 2005 and I can’t even imagine why it might shut down. Whenever it comes to websites I always suggest people to make backups so if somethign goes wrong for whatever reason you always have a copy of your site and can easily restore it.

Honestly, I wouldn’t try marketing WA itself until you’ve had success elsewhere. How can you give solid advice on why people should join WA if you haven’t had success with it yet? Also, some of the best affiliates in the world have gone through WA training, so you’re competing with them as well. You can definitely compete with anyone, so don’t let that scare you away. But get your legs with a micro-niche site first. Hopefully you can find a niche that’s not too competitive.
Hey Scott, I’ve been burned before. I’ve paid out hundreds of dollars to try and get affiliate marketing sites going and have never succeeded. My circle of friends is extremely suspicious about any site that claims you can make money online and I don’t socialize locally to spread out business cards. Promotion on facebook is also not a possibility as I’ve boycotted that site for personal reasons. I don’t like wandering into new forums, spending weeks building reputation, and then promoting a site only to find that they already have all their bases covered or something else. I also don’t have the energy to sit through hundreds of hours of video tutorials that I may not even understand, nor any money to set up websites. How is this going to work beyond a project I work on for 7 days and then give up on?
In some instances – like when the affiliate link is embedded in your product review – a single disclosure may be adequate. When the review has a clear and conspicuous disclosure of your relationship and the reader can see both the review containing that disclosure and the link at the same time, readers have the information they need. You could say something like, “I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.” But if the product review containing the disclosure and the link are separated, readers may not make the connection.
Will my target audience realistically buy this now, or at a different time? Be sensitive to sales cycles and seasons. Maybe you should avoid holidays (when people are away from their computers, like July 4 in the U.S.) or maybe you should target holidays (like the day after Thanksgiving), but know the difference. Again, know your audience. Plan your content accordingly.
If you want to succeed in your own online business then you won’t want to give up in 7 days and you will want to continue building your online presence out. I would suggest that you open your free account using the signup link above. I will be sending you my personal welcome greeting within 60 minutes of you joining. I will also be there to help you out whenever you have questions or something doesn’t make any sense to you.
The keyword research tool is a unique in-house tool. It's different than any other tool out there because it shows you how many websites are targeting your exact keyword. This is invaluable. With unlimited searches, you'll be able to find hundreds of low-competition keywords to target on your website. This means you'll be able to get on the first page much easier since you know how much competition you have.
You don’t necessarily have to have a huge site or lots of traffic. Consider emailing an affiliate program’s contact person (look for contact info on the site or in affiliate newsletters) if you send a lot of leads their way, rank well in the search engines for a related keyword or have a high conversion rate. Make your email compelling. Read my tips here. You just have to be a good fit and provide excellent value to the merchant. Another good resource for this is here.

I openly disclose the fact that I will receive a small affiliate commission if someone decides to join WA Premium using one of my affiliate link. There is no compensation for starter members. I often tell people that they are free to join WA without using my link but I encourage them to do so if they liked my review and the effort I put into explaining what it is and what it does. If someone thinks I don’t deserve being compensated, they can join directly through WA main site, without using my links, no hard feelings. The goal here is to answer all the questions about WA.
hi jack, I have been doing a lot of research on this company and have not found an answer to a specific question I have. I understand that you are promoting a product, specifically something you are passionate about. However I wanted to know if there was help I could get to find something to promote since I do not have a specific product I want to start my business on.
One last note. I’ve been asked what I think of other affiliate marketing resources, both free and paid. I’m familiar with some of them, not all. I’ve read ebooks, watch videos, bought courses and more. So far, the only paid-for course that has impressed me enough to recommend is Kayla Aimee’s Affiliate Acceleration: Impactful Strategies To Increase Your Passive Income.
Before you get into the thick of things, you need to select a niche that you are comfortable with. It is best if you have some formal learning in it, but it is perfectly all right to be a newbie to the sector, as long as it is a topic that you like researching on and writing about. To be an affiliate marketer, you need your own platform – a website or a blog where you can post links and advertise your chosen products.
Also like he said some of you in these reports are morons, and I really can't find another word for it. You DO NOT have to promote wealthy affiliate to make money. One more time You DO NOT have to promote wealthy affiliate to make money online. Wealthy affiliate is about teaching, and helping you to find your niche/passion and making money with it, and becoming successful in some way, shape or form. As well as the community and live support, you will not find many programs with random people who are not under you willing to help like this, this I can almost guarantee you. I have time in all of this as well, and you will find out what I mean why you keep searching for and joining the "next best thing" like you are probably doing right now.
I agree that the internet can be a scary place when it comes to trying to find a legit place to learn how to make money online. It doesn’t matter if you have never touched a computer in your whole life or how old you are. If you can follow simple directions and have a determination to learn everything you can about Internet marketing, It will be impossible for you to fail. If I can learn this, I know that anyone can and I would love to take you by the hand and show you how to get started.
thanks for the review! In the past few months I’ve been contacted by Herbalife, Amway and Worldventures and am now sick of all those hyped like cult communities trying to sell you their “awesome” lifestyle. No more pyramid scheme for me, just honest business. That’s why I’d like a little honesty from you. My partner and I are really interested in building an online business based on our passions such as fitness/sport, travel, photography and food. I know these are big niches but could you make it clear how could we get affiliate connections in these areas without working for amazon etc? We don’t wanna sponsor single products in general but healthy, active, lifestyle choices. We wanna help people improving their life!
Also, Wealthy Affiliate primarily focuses on building niche websites and driving traffic to them through SEO. If you are more inclined towards another method of affiliate marketing such as through creating membership subscription sites, running e-commerce or drop-shipping sites, or getting traffic through solo ads, then Wealthy Affiliate will not be as worth it to you too.
When I first stumbled upon Wealthy Affiliate in 2007 I had to pay the full price just so I could see what it looks like and what it really is. This program has changed a lot in the past 11 years and you can try it out completely Free. The starter account is $0, no catch, no credit card required – so you could decide if it’s right for you without risking a single dime of your hard earned money.

Also pyramid schemes require you to pay in order to be able to recruit. Wealthy Affiliate welcomes you with a completely free membership. This is done for the transparency reasons. You join for free and you decide if the quality of training and the level of support is good for you. You can stay on as a free member and build your own sites. You can move to Premium as well which will offer more support and more training but no one forces you to do it. Once again, you try it for free and decide if it’s worth it for you.
What kind of commission do they offer? One-time commissions or recurring commissions? For example, many programs pay you one time for sending a customer. On the other hand, some programs like membership sites or SaaS (software as a service) programs will pay you a commission as long as the person you referred is a paying customer. Recurring commissions are great when you can find them!
Premium membership costs you $19 the first month (if you take advantage of the 59% discount during the first 7 days after joining) and $47 the following months. You may cancel at any time, if you wish to do so. If you decide to pay on a yearly basis, the Premium membership will cost you $359. That would save you $205 than if you paid $47 per month during a year ($47 x 12 months = $564; $564 – $359 = $209 in savings, seems like a good deal!).
I get paid directly through Paypal as I find this is the easiest and safest way to get paid. If he has a background in Internet marketing then this should speed up the process and give him a head start above everyone else. I would get him signed up right away so that he can get started making money as soon as possible.Everything you need to succeed within the online world is right here at Wealthy Affiliate and you can get started for Free. I look forward to working with your brother and helping him out as much as I can.

Be honest. Talk about what you like and don’t like. Be fair and build trust. It will serve you well later. For examples, check out my review posts about Elite Blog Academy and Self Publishing 101. I get emails frequently from people who tell me they decided to purchase one of those courses through my affiliate link because it was the most balanced review they found.
Thanks for all the information on WA Jack!! I really appreciate it! I am currently in Fourpercent but they keep wanting more money for upgrades if you will! If I had that kind of money I would not be looking to make a lot of money on line!! Now all I have to do is find out how to get out of it !! Any ideas? It is through Clickbank. Thanks and best regards,
Thank you so much for answering my question! About the celebrity website I thought I could build a website about a celebrity and her fans who come to my website for the latest news about her might click different adds in my website if they are interested in sth. Since most of her fans are young I can advertise different products that young people want to buy. That was my idea. But since this won’t work I’ll try to think of sth else. But I have 1 more question. I’m a college student and I can’t spend a lot of time working for the website. Is it possible to make money if I work only 1 hour a day? I know it depend on how I work too and not only how much time I spend, but I just want to have an idea of how much I can earn a month if I work only 1 hour a day. Can I make like 100$ a month? I’m not trying to get rich with the website I just want to make some money online.

So to show you exactly how awesome the training is, and exactly how fast support is, and exactly how friendly everyone is, you can create a free Starter Membership. With this free membership, you'll be able to build your first website and ask unlimited questions. Kyle (the owner) will show you step by step how to pick a topic for your website, how to build your website, and how to create your first articles.

I’m glad that you’re interested in signing up for WA to see if this would be a good fit for you or not. I can assure you that I really will be there to support you 100% of the way. This is not just a sales pitch! I sincerely mean it and I’m constantly checking up on my referrals to see how things are going for them and to clear up any confusion they may have getting started.
One thing I don’t like is that Wealthy Affiliate mainly focuses on beginner to intermediate trainings. While this makes sense as the vast majority of Wealthy Affiliate members are brand new to the industry, I would also love to see some more advanced training provided for those of us with a decade of experience in the industry. Sometimes even the pros like to be challenged!
There are a variety of different ways you can get paid. Depending on which affiliate programs you sign up with you can get paid through Paypal which is how I get paid and it’s the most common way. Lots of affiliate programs also pay you through direct deposit to your bank account. You simply enter your details when you sign up and after you start making sales they will deposit your earnings into your account. You could also choose to get a check in the mail if you would prefer to get paid this way.
This Is Ok in my mind, because it is Your right, Im glad we can express ourselves. Im also glad You took the time for yourself, to look into WA.  I hope you will Understand my comment is on the otherside of yours. Im not a robot in any shape or form. I believe with all my experiance that its a good program and we both took our time here to express ourselves. We both deserve the respect for our opinion's. I respect yours You have a great life,my best wishes to your success JB
Affiliate marketing currently lacks industry standards for training and certification. There are some training courses and seminars that result in certifications; however, the acceptance of such certifications is mostly due to the reputation of the individual or company issuing the certification. Affiliate marketing is not commonly taught in universities, and only a few college instructors work with Internet marketers to introduce the subject to students majoring in marketing.[36]
After your first month its only $47 a month and this includes everything you need to run your business along with unlimited help and support from thousands of experts in the field of internet marketing. There is also a yearly option which is highly discounted (Over a $200 savings) at only $359 for the entire year.Broken down this comes out to about 98 cents a day and this is how I pay. You can cancel at any time and there is no obligation to continue if you don’t want to.
This is THE best website on the planet. Trying to research companies frustrated the hell out of me. So many fake reviews, so many trying to make their competition look bad. I had just about said to hell with it, until I found this site. Doing the Wealthy Affiliate free thing now but wanted to find out more info. before going premium, but so many bad reviews out there. I said to myself how much I was learning for free(and permanent) was too good to pass up. Thanks again, going full steam ahead with WA now. I love AWOL, just too pricey. Have been member of Beachbody for years. Great products but coaching little iffy. Thanks for this site!!! You beat the crap out of the BBB.
Hey Kim, There is no such thing as a dumb question. You won’t know unless you ask and I’m glad you asked this question. When you join Wealthy Affiliate you can promote anything you want, I usually recommend people to start out with a passion or hobby. There are millions of different products you could sell on your website from places like Amazon, Click bank and many others. You can do this by signing up to their affiliate program which is free to join.
If you add up all the services you get, the premium membership is a steal. For example, you’ll notice they include unlimited keyword research with a membership. Other paid keyword research tools sell for $49 or more just by themselves. Add in website hosting, and there’s another $10 / mo. Add on the website security package, and there’s another $10 per month (I’ve paid as much as $29 / mo just for website security). Just based on those things alone, Wealthy Affiliate is a great deal with all of the resources and tools you need in one convenient place. Not to mention all of the training, tutorials, and support that is included with the membership.
