Just take amazon as an example. In order to earn money from Amazon, you have to sign up as a partner with them. Once you have signed up, you will be given a unique affiliate link. You can promote this link by placing it in your own website, etc. When people clicks on that link, and purchase something, you make a commission from the successful sale. You do not need to handle the transaction nor are you selling stuff. You are connecting potential buyers to retailers.
But, after all the reviews I read, it seems that the only way to make big bucks from WA is through its own affiliate programs. This doesn’t sit well for someone like me who wants to do affiliate in other niches and still earn more than my last corporate job. And… I’m afraid that I would still need to spend a lot of money from media buying (i.e. solo, ads, pps) just to earn back and more.
so i’ve been searching and searching about wa! i’m a single mother so i have to provide for my daughter but am also quite poorly and am going to have to unfortunatly leae my job. i want to work from home with a decent income. i need to cover my current earnings (which isn’t much) and more. Before i take any further steps i do have some questions. I’m very much a newbie & not a techie really so my questions may be very stupid. Do you need a product to sell before joining wa because i don’t have anything myself to sell? how much can you potentially earn pcm? How long does it usually take till money starts coming in? what do you actually need before joining wa to make it worth while?
Great tips! Since I just started blogging in January I am still really just getting my toes wet in affiliates. However, I did notice that pictures and real life demonstrations of the product really help. For instance, I have several food posts where I talk about my favorite cook books and show what I have cooked out of them, and then included amazon links, sure enough I sold a few cook books.

Anyone can succeed in this business, no matter what your age is or if you are tech savvy or not. When I started here close to 3 years ago I had absolutely no idea how to build websites and I had never even heard of Internet marketing before. I just knew I was sick of living paycheck to paycheck and never being fulfilled in what I was doing for a living.
If you want the full story, you can check out my about me page (it’s a pretty cool story if I may say so myself). The short version is that I got started with affiliate marketing back in 2009 and was able to go full-time in 2011. I now own more than a dozen websites in several different niche industries. You can see a listing of most of my sites at RogersConcepts.com.
If you research any successful millionaire entrepreneur you will realize that they constantly learn new things. They attend seminars, hire coaches, read books, meet experts in their field – they stay updated and learn something new every single day. There hasn’t been a single time that I came to Wealthy Affiliate and haven’t learned something new – this is the reason I am still a member and still excited every time I log into my account.
Hey Scott! Thanks for posting such great reviews and replying to everyone’s comments. I’m interested in joining, but I’m a little skeptical about devoting months if my time before earning anything. I understand it takes time to build any career. I mean, I’m going into my 3rd year of schooling for a career that isn’t mine yet! Lol. So my questions…What is the method for payment? Do you only get paid for each time someone clicks on a link to what or promoting or do you get paid for each click and each purchase of that item? Also, how about if I chose a product such as Avon or PartyLite? You know, products that are sold by individuals rather than through a website? I mean, they still have websites, I’m just not sure how that would work with WA. Thanks in advance for any answers you can provide!

Also, thank you for recommending Noisli. I get very distracted when working, so this white noise would be perfect. Music (classical) and white noise background sounds do help with concentration. It’s like success is handed right to me, I just need to do the work!!! The tools are all there, help and advice are all there, you see real people making real results. Well I can’t confirm that anybody is real online, but you know what I mean. I liked your sense of humor in this post as well. This review also included examples and talked more about how things work, such as the pages and keywords and how it takes time for your keywords to go up in google. It talks about the beginning where you weren’t making any money, but one day it started, and from then on it was making money itself!!!! Thank you for this review as it was extremely helpful and informative.
Summary: While other programs charges hundreds or thousands of dollars to teach Affiliate Marketing, you can get access to everything there is in Wealthy Affiliate for a fraction of the fee, plus you'll enjoy so many other valuable features without ever needing to pay for upsells. This is what I like about Wealthy Affiliate because it genuinely wants you to succeed as an affiliate marketer.
Hi Mel, You can stay as a Free member for as long as you like. There is no time limit on the Free membership, just keep in mind the whole idea of the starter membership is to get you started. If you check out the Free membership, and you think that this is something you would like to make a career out of then you should check out the premium membership. There is no obligation though whatsoever to upgrade, it’s totally up to you when you feel you are ready. If you have any more questions feel free to get in contact with me and I will help you out. Your Friend Scott
The community aspect is also something that I really love and something other programs fail to provide. If you have difficulty with anything in the process, many members will able to help you instantly in WA Live Chat but what I love most is that people share their ideas and experiences. Listen to these experiences, learn from other people’s mistakes and brainstorm with others!

Finally, if you’re only planning on “dipping your toes in the water” to see what affiliate marketing is all about, do not sign up for the premium membership. The free membership is more than enough for you to see what it’s all about. Premium membership should be reserved for those who are actually serious about building a real business for themselves. If you aren’t in this for the long-haul, there is no reason to waste your money.

This is THE best website on the planet. Trying to research companies frustrated the hell out of me. So many fake reviews, so many trying to make their competition look bad. I had just about said to hell with it, until I found this site. Doing the Wealthy Affiliate free thing now but wanted to find out more info. before going premium, but so many bad reviews out there. I said to myself how much I was learning for free(and permanent) was too good to pass up. Thanks again, going full steam ahead with WA now. I love AWOL, just too pricey. Have been member of Beachbody for years. Great products but coaching little iffy. Thanks for this site!!! You beat the crap out of the BBB.

Hello Alex. I’ve gone trough your reveal and 5 day courses (though I did not receive day 3. I sent you and email but you did’t reply) and all are very fantastic. Now I am ready join Wealthy Affiliate premium under you. I tried to sign-up but the system is telling me that my country is not supported, but you said one can sign-up under Premium from any country. Please can you help me to get sign-up under premium under you? Thank you.
I realize my bias is already showing through, so I’ll get to what I DON’T like about Wealthy Affiliate below. But, as I’ve already stated, overall I don’t know of any other place that is better for new affiliate marketers to get started than Wealthy Affiliate. If you take a look around my site, you’ll notice I’ve spent a TON of time on it. I’ve spent years of my life building this site, and there are currently almost 500 posts here, all for free, for everyone. It is in my best interest to promote only the best training course and that training course is Wealthy Affiliate.
Although it differs from spyware, adware often uses the same methods and technologies. Merchants initially were uninformed about adware, what impact it had, and how it could damage their brands. Affiliate marketers became aware of the issue much more quickly, especially because they noticed that adware often overwrites tracking cookies, thus resulting in a decline of commissions. Affiliates not employing adware felt that it was stealing commission from them. Adware often has no valuable purpose and rarely provides any useful content to the user, who is typically unaware that such software is installed on his/her computer.
Hello! So this may have already been answered/asked and I missed it. If so, sorry! Do you have to purchase the products you are selling before the demand is there? For example, I start my website and all for sports gear. I have no product or customers yet. In order to get started, I have to buy 200+ items of sportswear to stock and supply my web business and then try to sell those items.

The training will walk you through this same process and show you how to get on the first page of Google as well. I will be there to help you out and answer any questions you have about the training so don’t hesitate to let me know when you have any questions. I really am looking forward to working with you and I hope we can get you setup with your very own starter account.
Premium membership costs you $19 the first month (if you take advantage of the 59% discount during the first 7 days after joining) and $47 the following months. You may cancel at any time, if you wish to do so. If you decide to pay on a yearly basis, the Premium membership will cost you $359. That would save you $205 than if you paid $47 per month during a year ($47 x 12 months = $564; $564 – $359 = $209 in savings, seems like a good deal!).
I wouldn’t recommend borrowing articles from elsewhere as you could get into some serious legal trouble if the author finds out about it. Google will also punish you for having duplicate content on your site and won’t give you any rankings. I’m glad to hear that you may be Joining WA in a week and please feel free to ask as many questions as you need to before you join.
Be honest. Talk about what you like and don’t like. Be fair and build trust. It will serve you well later. For examples, check out my review posts about Elite Blog Academy and Self Publishing 101. I get emails frequently from people who tell me they decided to purchase one of those courses through my affiliate link because it was the most balanced review they found.
If anyone is claiming Wealthy Affiliate is a scam, I'm going to guess it's because of one of the following reasons: they are trying to convince you to join a different program or they didn't have success with Wealthy Affiliate. Being a successful affiliate is going to require you to roll up your sleeves and put in some hours. Nobody said it would be easy, and if they did they're lying to you.
What kind of commission do they offer? One-time commissions or recurring commissions? For example, many programs pay you one time for sending a customer. On the other hand, some programs like membership sites or SaaS (software as a service) programs will pay you a commission as long as the person you referred is a paying customer. Recurring commissions are great when you can find them! Wealthy Affiliate Review: A Skeptic no More! See my Results.
